Installing Wordpress Theme

Featured Replies

Hey all,

Just been asked by a friend how to install a custom theme (not one from the default wordpress directory) into a blog that's hosted by Wordpress.

It's a piece of cake if you know where the Wordpress is hosted, but if it's hosted by wordpress e.g. http://example.wordpress.com is it still possible to get into the file directory, install new themes and generally muck about with it?

don't think you can install custom themes on wordpress hosted blogs, you have to download one of the themes available or pay them a set fee to be able too customise the css http://en.wordpress.com/products/ on the right hand side

nuts.

cheers guys

yep, you're kind of limited if you have a Wordpress hosted solution.

Lots of amazing hosting deals out there if you want a standalone though.
