This site has not been picked up after 3 months

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

Building a site for a friend so i can get some experience (its non paid as im just starting out and I suck)

Sites been live for almost 3 months now and google still has not picked it up despite being on adwords, site maps done etc and submmitted. having 500 hits so far.

Can anyone take a quick glance and tell me if anything jumps out at them as the problem?

As im a beginner alot of the site originally came from a template - could this be the issue?

sorry - the url is

www.onlinehairsolutions.co.uk

the site is the 1st site ive done - and im now planning the second version - i hope to achieve a more professional clean look.

This is also my problem in my new site http://prefr.hub.ph. It hasn't been indexed for 21 days. Quite shorter than yours but it's very unusual based on my previous website projects (which usually take less than a week, 10 days at most).

So far, no one has given me a plausible explanation, but my hypothesis is this. Back link building, XML sitemap submission and search engine submissions are all good tactics to get your site in search engine database, but when you do all of these at once (in just one day), Google possibly perceived it as something overly aggressive and penalized you for it. This is the first time I did something like this. In my previous sites, I only create back links on a couple of forum signature and add sitemaps later when the are already indexed.

Availing adwords has nothing to do with getting indexed. You simply availed the advertisement service of Google, that's all.

Yes but adwrods increases your amount of visitors

I have no other links online to my site other than adwords

is this an important factor?

i.e even if ive submitted my site - without the links they dont care?

is this an important factor?

Yep this is a very important factor, arguably the most important (after good content) to rankings.

When you buy adwords, what you will get is adsense ads. A link to your site will appear in one of those websites that has adsense ads.

However, those ads do not count as inbound links. When you check the source code of those websites that publish adsense, what you will see is a javascript, not the list of links that you can see embedded in normal webpage view.

With google, you can actualy submit your site so google will crawl it at least once.

Go to google, and search web master, or if you want a link My link

Register, and confirm your site with google. I would also advise adding the Google Analytics tool to your website, will tell you where people are visiting form and how often.

ya that will solve your problem copy paste the verification code in your site

Submiting you URL to Google is not a great way to get indexed nowadays.

1.Submit your site to social media like reddit and digg - page by page.

2. get a blogger blog and write about your site and link to it - then ping it using pingomatic

3, Create an RSS feed from your sitemap and submit it to RSS directories.

You will be indexed in about a day once you do that.

Oh, and then build backlinks, each and every week.
