August 7, 200917 yr Well you can either setup standing order forms with your clients, ask them to create a PayPal subscription or get a merchant account and gateway with say worldpay with re-occurring payments that will automagicially authorize and charge the card every month. We do a mix of standing orders and Card Payments
August 7, 200917 yr Author This basically means that if i want to earn a couple of extra quid on hosting reselling I actually create extra work for myself with setting up/checking who's paying and who doesnt/chasing non payers etc.. hmm

August 7, 200917 yr If you can afford it, I suggest getting a billing system like WHMCS. This handles many parts of the business like billing, account management and customer support. Then you simply link your PayPal account with it, and everything is automated. You don't need to go round checking up on payments. We use, and love it

August 27, 200917 yr A standing order is like a Direct Debit however it is issued by the client as opposed to the supplier. It is a simple document which tells your bank to pay your providers bank a sum of money each day, week, month, quarter, year or one-time.

Ditto to what others have said, if you do a google search for "Automated hosting billiing" or other such terms, you will find there are quite a few automated billing systems available, its just a matter of trying them out and see which one suit's you best, they all pretty much have paypal capabilities, and most of the decent ones can easily be hooked into paypal or other such services, or you can configure them to have BACS/Bank transfer as payment methods. I'd seriously avoid modernbill though, that one is just awful, they went from not very good to downright dreadful.(IMHO)
