After a recent laptop wipe, I realised I have lost the disc with the FTP program I use (CuteFTP)

 

I need a new, free FTP program that works similar to Cute. Any suggestions?

I have used Filezilla for years with barely a problem (and when there is, it's most likely the server rather than the app anyway since it's one particular client every time).

I've not used CuteFTP but I've never had any problems with the free version of AceFTP. You might want to try that.

I use FILEZILLA aswell

FileZilla (PC) or CyberDuck (Mac).

Again another FileZilla user, have never had a problem with it

I used to use FileZilla, but I found that there were some problems with it, for example doing server-side modifications to files sometimes messes up the whitespace on the files and puts them all on one line, can be annoying if you're working with a team of people. I have to say for a £15 (at this exchange rate), FlashFXP is the way to go, it's an amazing piece of software that I couldn't recommend enough.

FireFTP, a firefox plugin, works really well. It just opens a new tab, within which there's a nice FTP client.

I work with filezilla, easy to use and is reliable (i only get problems on free hosting, due to the hosting companies restricting uploads per minute)

I Second FileZilla.

i use wsftp.... or core ftp... but will surely try filezila....
