June 23, 200917 yr Author Buy cheap, buy twice! Why do you want to move away from your current provider? Because i just realized I own 5 domains and im paying seperately for each domain to be hosted when i can get one host to host all the domain names... is this correct ?

Ah I see, so you are looking for a multi-domain hosting package. Have you contacted your current host to see if they offer you a multi-domain package? It seems silly to move away from them if you are happy with them other than not having a multi-domain package with a reasonable price.

Ask your current host if you can use something know as "addon domains" where you can use multiple domain names on 1 hosting package, then just let those 5 domains/websites all share the resources of one hosting plan. Dont let "cheap" be your deciding factor though, especially if the websites are business ones. What kind of websites are you hosting and where about are they targeted? (UK/USA/Elsehwere)

(UK/USA/Elsehwere) They are based worldwide, most of them are projects in production; they wouldn't be for commerce, just some ideas me and a team have been working on; and we would be getting high level of traffic, and tbh i dont't like my current host their firewall block my ip anytime im uploading files and i have to email them to have it cleared and wait for likek 2hours before they do that and it sometimes happes three times a day, they report downtime always. I think thats partly the reason for my decision.

Although it's not something we have on our systems. What scripting technologies do you use? Windows ASP/MS-SQL or Linux PHP/Perl/MySQL etc.

June 23, 200917 yr See if your provider can white list your IP address (presuming your on a static one) to stop you from being blocked... Do you know why they are blocking your IP Addresses? Are you failing logins or is it just happening purely when uploading files? Like others have said - Buy Cheap... Buy Twice. IF you are adamant on moving then get hosting from a decent provider for a reasonable cost

IF you are adamant on moving then get hosting from a decent provider for a reasonable cost Its definitely not password problems, my passwords are saved so anytime i login i just press refresh and then it connects, so its something different. Im definitely leaving them, all the hosts im seeing are quite expensive, and with a maximum of 6 sites that can be hosted, some one recommended this package to me its got unlimited domain hosting : http://www.hostgator.com/shared.shtml any views on that ?

You did say that your sites would be getting a fair amount of traffic so personally I would go with a provider who uses premium carriers and has a good uptime record and that does NOT oversell... Also they are in the US... Also ask them if they can look at the server logs to tell you why your IP is being blocked... Hostgator are one of these cheepy hosts in the US like the equivalent of fasthosts / 1&1 here in the UK... If you are going to use them be careful.
