I would change the font in the banner (somthing a bit more classy), cut some content out and use more images on the homepage, possibly more vibrant colours too.

i would have more picutures instead of being hit when you first view the site by lots of boring text.

Hi i agree with the above comments. i also think your logo / header image needs some sharpening up.

For me as i arrive at the site, it just doesnt smack me of food lovers.

For me "food lovers" is def a one for some rich classy colours and images. And not keen on the scrolling images.

Maybe move some of your content onto another page with just a couple of short paragraphs about the business and some fine food examples.... maybe a nice testimonial somewhere.

Do you have some say on what colours you use or is it already chosen?

If you want some specific help, please feel free to ask.... the guys and girls here are great :D

I agree with what has been said above, a big block of text isnt what i would expect to find on a website for food.

Have you considered having a landing page? or something similar, so that it is alot more graphical showcasing the food.

If i had to do it, i would probably use a ltitle bit of flash, and have it all on a background that looked like a food menu.

hi

1. it has a very simple monotone look to it.. i suggest u use atleast 2 colours to add a good contrast to the site.

2. you need to emphasis important title text. like making it bigger in size and add some colour to it.

3. u need to distinguish text from each other by putting text in boxes of different colour for the right columns

I also agree with above comments, too much info on main page, no little images, dont too sure on the colour scheme

thanks for the ideas. it is my first website. i will work on it and submit again.

Thanks again.

Hi

I think a food site definantly needs to be more eye catching, as your selling a food service show your visitors more of what they want, ie more images of good quality looking food.

That said though dont over do it with the images you only need to get the attention of your visitors so they move deeper within your site.

Once they are there dont just use text, compliment the food items on this page for example Sandwich Menu with images for at least the most popular.

I hope this helps in some way.

Is it just me or is anyone else seeing this?

In Firefox, on the gallery page, the lightbox repeats the images i.e. i thinks there are 48 images instead of 24?

(it's ok in IE)

but i do like to improve the site.

thanks for the suggestions.

Hai piush!

Greetings from Vimal! I like your website that needed such improvement. All of the other people discussed with you about the color scheme and home page design. But at the same time we need to concentrate on other elements.

Whatever color scheme you are using, you need to learn some basic webdesign stantards. For example, Text Alignment, Text Highlighting, Link Color, line spacing, Space between a picture and paragraph etc.

i have changed the website .

would like your suggestions please.

Hi piush,

I think the site looks much better now without the background image. Have you thought about slightly lightening the colour of your content area so that the text stands out more and the site doesn't run into the background colour? I think as some people have mentioned that your home page would look better with some more photos of food (apart from your slideshow area). That could really make things stand out.

Agree with all the above, but perhaps more fundamental is the overall layout. You've got no consistency between elements. Some pan the width of the pages, others 2/3rds, some only a quarter, but there's no consistency to any of it. Additionally your padding is all over the shop meaning items jut up against their container borders.

I personally think the colour scheme is fine, however the image at the very top needs to be bigger, more eye catching and of a higher quality At the moment it's too small, vague and pixelated. Also you;ve got a link at the bottom saying valid...it isn't...!
