February 20, 200917 yr Hi there,I have just built my new website. please let me know what you think? http://www.sussexwebsitedesign.com I do like this one. It's clean, it's quick with a very nice feel to it. On the down side, it looks a little bit too much like a template for me ... A nice template, but a template nonetheless. Forgive me if I'm out on this though. Although, in saying that, most users probably wouldn't notice and will love the site. It's just a little harder to get it past a designer I guess.... As we are all critical ... About ourselves moreso though ;o) Good job though, very well done.
February 20, 200917 yr Author Thank you for your comment. Looking at my site again, I think you might be right about the template look. I was trying to make it obvious about what this site was about. But on reflection maybe the image is too obvious and simple. Maybe a combination on images, something more impactful? Thank you very much for you advise! Quick question about CSS as I have not been using it long. I'm having trouble with the roll over text link. I can make it happen but when I revisit that page it does not work again because it shows it as a visited link, do you know how to deal with this?
February 20, 200917 yr Thats a very nice site and layout you got there, however, on Firefox 3 for Mac the text below the logo goes too far and is cut off the div. Perhaps you need to lessen the gap between the logo and the start of the text?

In your CSS: a:visited {stlyes here} either that, or change the "a {}", to "a, a:visited {}", if you would like visited links to look like un-visited
February 20, 200917 yr It's a really nice looking website, I wouldn't change anything. There's just an addition to Scott's previous comment, however. You need to layout your anchors in a specific order, because of the way certain browsers read it, particularly MSIE. a:link, a:visited { } a:hover, a:active { } The main issue I have with your site is the way that it has been coded, everything works, but the markup should be a little more meaningful, and there seems to be some unnecessary CSS in there.
March 2, 200917 yr I have the same issues as Stocker, also in Firefox 3 on a mac. Also small typo - "Contact us a info@sussex.........." Other than that, love it
