January 30, 200917 yr Hello Has anyone used dream-hosting.co.uk? They seem very cheap for £9.99 a year, I am paying double that at the mo. Are they reliable with good support? Can anyone recommend a good cheap hosting co? Thanks in advance Marie
January 30, 200917 yr Never heard of them but the site dates back to 2004 (not 2001 as stated on their site!) - http://web.archive.org/web/20040218021258/...-hosting.co.uk/ . They also use Liquid Web servers in the USA so that's an important factor because you're in the UK. Personally I'd say £9.99 is far too cheap. If you're planning on hosting your customers sites then you need to be looking for quality and reliability over price. To help you better can you tell us what you need (disk space/bandwidth/features) and your maximum monthly budget?
January 30, 200917 yr Author Hi bluedreamer Thanks for your advice, i must admit £9.99 does seem far too cheap. At present I use the starter plan with CWCS, 1GB, 10,000mb transfer, 85 mailboxes. It is £19.99 per year, but with a £9.99 set up fee. I am looking for something similar but want different hosting elsewhere too as would like a different IP to the one I have now to host more sites on. Any recommendations for similar packages and prices would be greatly appreciated Marie
January 30, 200917 yr Do you have any preference on Control Panel? Do you have any preference of Linux or Windows? (are you sites built using php or asp or both?)
January 31, 200917 yr If you want windows look at http://www.2008hosting.net or http://www.tsohost.co.uk You'll be in good hands with either company
January 31, 200917 yr Any recommendations for similar packages and prices would be greatly appreciated To give you a general idea of prices, I'd say that based on your requirements, you should be paying around US$4-5 per month
February 6, 200917 yr Author Hi Bubble Thank you for your recommendations, I have decided to give tsohost a go
June 2, 200917 yr Don't know if anyone will still be interested but I've been using dream-hosting for a few years and have been quite happy with the service. Can't remember any downtime. It sometimes can take up to 24 hours for a ticket response but i've always dealt with the same guy and he's very helpful.
