The PHP version is REALLY REALLY old, so check the MySQL version too.

 

As for if its a good deal or not, well, everybodies circumstances are different, so what might be a good deal to 1, might not be so good to another.

 

Check out the versions of software installed on the server, such as Cpanel version, MySQL version, PERL etc, and then let us know. Plus of course how much your being asked for in this "deal"...

 

Unlimited mailing list's should also give you a hint that if "you" are allowed unlimited mailing list's, then so are your hosted neighbours too, so also ask the person offering the hosting account what the outgoing email limit "per-hour" is.

It also depends who your hosting company is. Yes you may get a fantastic price, but have you also researched whether they have a good customer service?

Like wesh said, PHP version is far too old... PHP.net dropped support for that distro a while ago...

 

You may also want to find if you actually get SSL certificates with the account or just have https support The list is a little misleading

You are still better going for a hosting package from a professional company who actually care You can get hosting from as little as £20 - £30 a year with everything you listed as well as prompt professional support etc.

Its a bit odd that he is offering space for free, all he has to gain from it is other people he doesnt know consuming his own resources, with nothing in return for the efforts...
