Trying to explain to a few on msn.... thought better to do a post to WDF.

 

Had a bit of a close call this afternoon.

 

I was riding the supertram home from meadowhell, was sat next to my partners sister and my partner was a cross from her.

 

When someone throw a stone (or part of a brick) the size of a fist into the window..... right where i was sat.

Got covered in glass.... Any closer and it would have been right in my face.

 

I am lucky as the plastic sticky layer of the window slow the rock down... other wise that would have seriously hurt more then it did.

 

I think at first i was in shock. the lady across from me was pulling all the glass out my hair/face. Worse bit was was it when all the way down my back so i had to get into the drivers cab (they pulled the sun screen down. and take of my jeans and things to get the glass out (that one for the stories.... got partly naked in the supertram cab with my h2b) shame it not as fun as that sounds

 

The screen didn't quite cover the side of the drivers cab so anyone driving/walking pass would have seen my bottom

 

just had a shower have little cuts and things... worse of it was glass got into my heel and that been bleeding a little.... (however could have been a lot lot worse) so i am lucky that all i walked away with

 

They have taken my details... hopefully they get them on cctv 'silly idiots'

 

I am having a strong drink now lol

 

I can't understand why thou stones/rocks/eggs at trams.... don't they realize someone they could care about could easily be their target?

 

Hope next year is better then 2008 has been treating me so far lol

Sounds like you've had a bit of a bad time recently, you hurt your teeth or something too didn't you? Anyway I hope you recover soon and that they catch the idiots that did it!

Sounds horrible Emmi.....unfortunately there are some ppl out there who don't give a toss about anything or anyone or else don't think about them.

 

Easier said than done, but try and remember overall there are lot more good ppl out there than bad.

I'm really sorry to hear about your ordeal, Emmi, and really pleased for you that you escaped with only cuts, bruises and public nudity

 

Seriously, though, I hope the police give those guys who did it a solid beating when they catch them, as it's likely to be the only language they'll understand.

 

It's true, there are many more good than bad folks in the world, just such a shame when you have to share space-time with the bad ones.

The police won't do anything about it sorry Emmi, the kids rights are against you... Ridiculous I know. It's a horrid thing to happen, there really are some knobheads out there (excuse the bad language, but it's true).

 

I got beaten up a few times by a kid (we're the same age), he got sent to court etc, I got to "choose" the community service he got, so I chose for him to work in a hospice type place, I thought it might give him a reality check... The court called me a few days later and said that it "Wasn't in the kids interest" to work somewhere like that, so they let him work at a rugby club for a week instead, the judicial system in this country is apauling.

Had a few drinks last night to charm my nerves..... seem to be a bit jumpy then normal.

They say things come in three's (this was the 3rd bad thing that happened)

 

1, partner redundant 2, my teeth, 3, getting a rock thrown at me on the tram

 

So maybe i have a nice start to 2009

We are not sure who throw it. I think when happened every thing was a blur.

But the tram guy did say someone had just been given 6 months for doing the same thing. (seem they are taking a tough route on this at the moment) but i wont get my hopes up.

I do believe what goes around, comes around.... they will get their punishment one day... if not anytime soon....

 

I should hear from the tram people in a day or two... i keep you updated... even if it not to take any action.
