one of my sites is on page one for a keyword or words actually but for only one keyword. I have only concentrated on that keyword. Many seo articles suggest to have 3-5 keywords that you should go on.

 

what is the best amount of keywords you should go for in your seo or ranking?

is it better to have single keywords or multiple word keywords?

how regularly should your content be updated daily or weekly or 2-3 days to stay at the top of search engines.

It's good to ensure that each page of content is focussed around one or two closely-related topics. I don't mean just for SEO - it's better for selling, for usability and theming if a page isn't trying to cover a million things - it's all about sectioning your content properly. Section your content well and then each page should be focused on one relevant topic with only a few interrelated subjects.

When it comes to keywords - sure focus on the two or three your research has identified as being most likely to get results but don't do this at the expense of other highly relevant words and phrases that will a) help show relevance and help broaden what SERPs the page will appear in without diluting your priority SERPs.

So, short answer - I'd advise supporting your central efforts with as many relevant terms as possible and doing this without lessening the page's effectiveness at selling once real visitors arrive!

in the introductory stage i prefer to use all of keywords which define my business. after sometimes when all of the terms get listed within top 100 or 150, break all long key phrases or titles into short form and adopt new strategies to get them at first page.

It depends on our website and your business. If you sell thousands of products then there will be thousands of relevant keywords. Just sell one and there will be far less. I think concentrating one 1 main keyword and a couple secondary words or phrases per page is good advice.

Yes totally agree. I aim for around 5% keyword rich density which has a desired effect. Although there is something to be said for longevity of content and its relevance to PR. On that basis I personally don't update 'ALL' the site 2-3 times a week but allow the site to organically grow (ie add rather than update or amend)

I just want to tell all of you that the keyword density rule of 5-7% is not uptodate anymore.

 

It is told that 2.5% keyword density is the way to go, it also sounds more natural when you read

something like this. but if you made good experience so far with your old approach go with it, never

change a winning team.

Just write your content for humans. As long as it includes your main keywords then its fine. Stop thinking about keyword density.... soooooooooo 1999.
