Hey,

I found an interesting result this morning whilst doing some random searching.

When I Google, Google's New CSS framework Blueprint search term "Google Blueprint" this forum actually appears in both 1st and 2nd position, followed by the actual Google product site. Which I find quite surprising. At the time of writing this, it's correct but not sure how long it will last, I have attached a screenshot as proof if your interested.

So well done forum :yahoo: I thought i'd share my finding:

DK.

Yeah the google ranking seems to be great for the site! I typed "web design" and the forum was 3rd top I think. I clicked the link and registered immediately like the good little google drone I am.

It depends on the location where you search from. Since it's a UK site it's more likely to appear higher on seraches done from the UK or on google.co.uk.

When I search from norway, and from google.no I get different results.

Yeah sorry I was being a UK centric google drone.

Thanks for the info Karly, we must be doing something right here!

I'v just checked the stats and we have had quite a few referals from Google using the term "Google Blueprint". So this topic explains the sudden popularity.

Thank you.

My standard google search engine is still the UK one. ;) Hard to break old habit.

Do they all refer to that thread you made about Google Blueprint?

thats good news, now all we need is people to actually need that Google Blueprint thing.

Then we get tonnes of visitors. Then we get BIG. Then I get happy. :D

Do I win a prize for not knowing what google blueprint is?

Ah, I know now - that's good for rankings - I think that Ben's getting good at the ol' SEO. :p

Well done, that takes some hard advertising, SEO and link building.

If you don't mind me asking, home many incoming backlinks do you have, because they seem to affect a sites ranking quite a lot, anyway good job you have done there :)

Well, I'm from the Philippines and this forum still came on top when I typed "web design forums".

That's the only reason why I signed up :D Felt lazy to scroll down.
