Hi I am looking to change the design of my site slightly.

 

My main concern is the links on the top left side I have used flash to create an effect for them but I am now thinking it would be better without the flash. Any ideas? The front page also needs to be changed. Please if you have any suggestions for any part of my site I would be very interested to hear.

I really don't like the flash link thingy, I think you could achieve a much more impressive effect with some Javascript!

What was with the splash page? Bad for seo, and just weird :S Surely that's putting off clients??

 

Flash navigation is really bad idea. You need to read up on your web design principles bro !

Ok, I am going to be cruel to be kind. I can see your site is a work in progress, but....

 

The splash page scared the crap out of me and you really don't need it.

The photos in the photography section are all squished.

Forms in tables - a bit no-no. You can do it all using css.

 

The menu is a bit hit and miss. I'm sure you can make a great one using css only.

 

Other than that, you have a nice looking site. I rather like the monochromatic style you have.

Oh yeah the splash page :s I do really need to change that. I was going to go in a completely different direction with the website as a whole I was going to use it for something else... but anyho you are right it needs to go asap. I will also change the navigation can you suggest any decent javascript menu tutorials or will it just be a case of googling it ?

My first impression was Yikes! As far as the splash page. It makes me feel drugged.

 

The navigation.... Oh my! The same type of navigation could be done using CSS instead of flash.. So flash is unneeded there.

 

And the rest... Ditto on what Helen has said.

Yeah to be brutally honest its pretty unprofessional and could use a lot of work, but at least you're on the right track.
