Site Popularity, advice?

Featured Replies

Hey guys Matthew Bagley here from Paramiliar Design Studios.

I'm looking for some advice. Now over at Paramiliar I have developed a Site Popularity report which basicly is a report telling you how well your site is doing in popularity (of course we cant measure visitors or anything like that but it is fairly accurate!)

Now there has been talk of expanding it but there are two ideas.

1) Automate the system and allow visitors to signup to receive free weekly reports on both their website and upto 9 competitors

2) Generate the report for every page on the website thus allowing individual pages to be monitored.

Now we would love to do both but ideally we want to know what would be more usefull to website owners.

So if you could post some comments and feedback here it would be very much appreciated.

Could I ask without sounding off-ish how you calculate popularity without analysing visitor stats?

Just curious, in a sincere way.

Hi there and welcome! I would go with option two. Knowing what pages in my site that draws a lot of traffic is best for me so I will readily know what pages to improve on ;)

I would go with option #1 - knowing how well your competitors are doing in comparison to you is a big help - it lets you know who to beat by price.
