Live Interview with 'Sci-Fried', Sci-Fi rock band only on StarTrekRadio.com!
Sci-Fried was formed in early 2007 by Chuck Silver and Jim Frederick out of a love for Science Fiction and Rock music, bringing life to the new and exciting concept of “geek rock”. Joined by the Chuckcon crew, we began writing parodies of popular songs with the flavor of our favorite movies and TV shows. Dr. Vern and Mike Jensen (KSV) soon added their vocal abilities. With Sunni Simmons on Bass we bringing the true vision of Sci-Fried to life. The parodies led to original music of the same “geek rock” flavor. The evolution of Sci-Fried into its present day Force was complete. Some of their most popular Star Trek songs include; My Name Is Spock 2.0, TNG 2.0 and Trippin’ Through The Wormhole If you have a question for Sci-Fried, please send it to zach@sto-radio.com with the words “Sci-Fried Question” in the Subject Line! Checking that a Form Field contains certain text
If anyone can help finalize this, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks Zach

Checking that a Form Field contains certain text
Thanks for responding. I have included your code in a function: <script type="text/javascript"> function mp3check() { var str = 'mymusicfile.MP3'; var match = 'mp3'; if (str.substr(str.length - 3).toLowerCase() != match) { forces lowercase comparison // string doesn't end with 'mp3' // } } </script> I presume I need to add something to the form field such as onblur="mp3check()" in order to get the check to work? e.g. <input type="text" name="entryURL" id="entryURL" size="50" onblur="mp3check()" /> I would like to add a message that pops up when mp3 is not found - how would I add that in? Thanks Zach

Is this web page OK on your browser
If you want to check that your site looks ok in multiple browsers - you can also try http://browsershots.org/

Checking that a Form Field contains certain text
I have a form text entry field for entering a URL. The field should be used to enter a URL containing a .mp3 file extension. I want to check the form field before the form is submitted, to ensure it contains the text ".mp3" at least once in the field - if it dosen't, a popup message would appear. I found this tutorial - http://javascript.about.com/library/blvalid04.htm - however I have not been able to get it to work. Does anyone have any suggestions or demos of ways I can get it working? Thanks Zach

How much do I charge?
Well, logo and/or writing content for site is not included in the price. I would charge maximum £150 (probably £125) for 3 page static xHTML/CSS site. For that price, i can handle the pictures (if client dont want to use their own, ofcourse). Logo would be about £15-25 (it depends how complex) Domain: about £10 So lets say, 3-page static site (without any flash/jquery) with logo would be £160-170. With contest, about £200-£215. Ofcourse, if they need hosting that would be £4-5 per month, monthly maintenance £50-75.... But my point is, to build 3 page static site with form, shouldn't be more then £125 (without logo, hosting, flash, domain, maintenance.... person who opened thread never gave us this info so im working with what i can here.) If you quote more, i doubt your skills are very good (weak skills, slow work and all of that.
