PHP Delete Images from a Directory
I have a basic php delete from directory script but it will not let me delete images: delete1.php - This allows the user to select the directory they want to delete from: <form method="POST" action="delete2.php" enctype="multipart/form-data"> <label>Select a School that you would like to delete images from: <select name="list" id="list"> <option value="albert/thumbs">Albert Village</option> <option value="ashby_hilltop/thumbs">Ashby Hilltop</option> <option value="ashby_school/thumbs">Ashby School</option> <option value="ashby_willesley/thumbs">Ashby Willesley</option> <option value="ashbycofe/thumbs">Ashby C of E</option> <option value="blackfordby/thumbs">Blackfordby</option> <option value="donisthorpe/thumbs">Donisthorpe</option> <option value="griffydam/thumbs">Griffydam</option> <option value="ivanhoe/thumbs">Ivanhoe</option> <option value="moira/thumbs">Moira</option> <option value="newbold/thumbs">Newbold</option> <option value="oakthorpe/thumbs">Oakthorpe</option> <option value="packington/thumbs">Packington</option> <option value="viscount/thumbs">Viscount Beaumont</option> <option value="woodcote/thumbs">Woodcote</option> <option value="worthington/thumbs">Worthington</option> </select></label><br /><br /> <input type="submit" value="Open Directory" /> </form> delete2.php <?php $path = "$list"; if(isset($_POST['file']) && is_array($_POST['file'])) { foreach($_POST['file'] as $file) { unlink($path . "/" . $file) or die("Failed to delete file"); } } ?> <form name="form1" method="post"> <?php $path = "$list"; $dir_handle = @opendir($path) or die("Unable to open folder"); while (false !== ($file = readdir($dir_handle))) { if($file == "index.php") continue; if($file == ".") continue; if($file == "..") continue; echo "<input type='CHECKBOX' name='file[]' value='$file'>"; echo "<img src='$file' alt='$file'><br />"; } closedir($dir_handle); ?> <input type="submit" name="Delete" value="Delete"> </form> Any help would be much appreciated! Deleting Images from a Directory Script
Hey guys, I am using the following script to delete files in different directories. The location of the directory is set by the posted value from the form before. However...the script isn't working. Can you please help me as I'm a beginner to PHP. Cheers! <?php $path = $_POST['list']; if(isset($_POST['file']) && is_array($_POST['file'])) { foreach($_POST['file'] as $file) { unlink($_POST['list'] . $file) or die("Failed to delete file"); } } ?> <form name="form1" method="post"> <?php $path = $_POST['list']; $dir_handle = @opendir($path) or die("Unable to open folder"); while (false !== ($file = readdir($dir_handle))) { if($file == "index.php") continue; if($file == ".") continue; if($file == "..") continue; echo "<input type='CHECKBOX' name='file[]' value='$file'>"; echo "<img src='$file' alt='$file'><br />"; } closedir($dir_handle); ?> <input type="submit" name="Delete" value="Delete"> </form>

FTP Programme
Hey guys, I have clients who send me files to upload to their website and also minor adjustments (whilst having a simple CMS to manage immediate updates themselves). I'm looking for a way of allowing clients to simply upload their files (preferably drag and drop) and they get sent to me. I know there are various methods out there but I would prefer if my client didn't have to sign up and as always - it would be great if it was free! Please can you let me know your recommendations? Cheers!

Comission
Hey guys, Firstly, I can see I've spelt commission wrong in the title. Sorry! Secondly, I don't quite know where to post this ...you'll prob tell me to go find a business forum. But...I might as well give it a shot. If a client / business contact gets you a client under and affiliate scheme you set up...how much commission would be reasonable to give them? I've heard around 20 - 25% which I thought What do you guys think??

.HTACCESS Problems
Hey Guys, I am currently in the process of creating a CMS for a client. However...all the page suffixes need to be changed from .htm to .php which is easy to do. However, if I don't forward for example index.htm to index.php the "Page cannot be found" will be the most visited page on my site and my Google PR will no doubt be destroyed. You'd usually forward the suffixes using a Redirect 301 in a .htaccess file. However, the hosting company does not support the use of .htaccess files. How can I forward .htm files to .php files? Cheers for your help! Josh

Setting Filename as Title Tag - PHP
I need to set the filename (minus the file type) as the Title tag. This is what I've come up with so far but cannot get anywhere with it. Any ideas/recommendations? <?php echo "<table><tr>"; foreach(glob("../manage/holiday/*.{jpg,JPG,jpeg,JPEG,gif,GIF,png,PNG}", GLOB_BRACE) as $images) { echo "<td><a href=\"".$images."\" rel=\"lightbox[holiday]\" title=\"".$title."\"><img src=\"".$images."\" width=\"100px\"></a><br/>"; } $path = $images; $file = $basename($path); $title = $file; echo "</tr></table>"; ?>

Uploading to a Directory
Hey guys Simple question. I have an image upload form which submits to a directory. All works fine...but I want the script to allow the end user to select which directory they want it submitting to. At the moment it submits to a standard uploads/ folder. So I've added in a dropdown menu with the directory selections. Question: How do I feed this information into the uploader.php script? I've had a go at replacing: $target_path = "uploads/"; for this $target_path = $list +[/]; Any help would be much appreciated and as you can probably guess I'm a beginner at this! Cheers! Upload.php <form enctype="multipart/form-data" action="uploader.php" method="POST"> <input type="hidden" name="MAX_FILE_SIZE" value="100000" /> <label>list <select name="list" id="list"> <option value="option1">option1</option> <option value="option2">option2</option> </select> </label><br /> Choose a file to upload: <input name="uploadedfile" type="file" /> <input type="submit" value="Upload File" /> </form> Uploader.php <?php $target_path = "uploads/"; $target_path = $target_path . basename( $_FILES['uploadedfile']['name']); if(move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploadedfile']['tmp_name'], $target_path)) { echo "The file ". basename( $_FILES['uploadedfile']['name']). " has been uploaded. <a href=\"members.php\">Go Back</a>"; } else{ echo "There was an error uploading the file, please try again!"; } ?>

Ideally I would like to have images uploading to a database for 16 different categories and then inserting a category on each page. Here is the two scripts I'm trying to use for multiple image uploads to a folder...but if anyone has any recommendations about my ideal solution please shout up! PHP Redirect
Hey guys, I have setup my database, table and register form. When I log-in everything is fine...however the page stays on login.php?op=login and doesn't redirect to members.php I have included my code below to see if you can spot any errors. Cheers for your help! Josh <?php session_start(); // dBase file include "dbConfig.php"; if ($_GET["op"] == "login") { if (!$_POST["username"] || !$_POST["password"]) { die("You need to provide a username and password."); } // Create query $q = "SELECT * FROM `dbUsers` " ."WHERE `username`='".$_POST["username"]."' " ."AND `password`=PASSWORD('".$_POST["password"]."') " ."LIMIT 1"; // Run query $r = mysql_query($q); if ( $obj = @mysql_fetch_object($r) ) { // Login good, create session variables $_SESSION["valid_id"] = $obj->id; $_SESSION["valid_user"] = $_POST["username"]; $_SESSION["valid_time"] = time(); // Redirect to member page Header("Location: members.php"); } else { // Login not successful die("Sorry, could not log you in. Wrong login information."); } } else { //If all went right the Web form appears and users can log in echo "<form action=\"?op=login\" method=\"POST\">"; echo "Username: <input name=\"username\" size=\"15\"><br />"; echo "Password: <input type=\"password\" name=\"password\" size=\"8\"><br />"; echo "<input type=\"submit\" value=\"Login\">"; echo "</form>"; } ?>
