Interesting perspective!

Majority of  jobs I have noticed recently spell out to you what they are looking for. Is the problem that you are too short of experience? You might have learned much on code school however, if you have messed about with the skills you said you have plus achieved in some development maybe this is why they gave the job to someone else who achieves many objectives whilst writing code and carrying out development work.
