This is where I am struggling
Hey, Thanks for the reply! Aye, the UI/UX designer is on my radar, but since these are personal projects and likely never going to be commercial (unless i'm lucky!) I'd like to avoid paying someone to design for me. Though, I do see the time / frustration saving benefit in this approach! As for dribble and code canyon, this is a good shout! I shall give this a try! Thanks again! T

This is where I am struggling
Hello ladies and Gentlemen! I am very much interested in your thoughts and assistance on the following. Over the last few months I've come up with a few ideas that i'd like to translate into websites, and i've been down this road before. I find I run into the same issues each time! I am just pants at making things 'look good'. My coding skills are average, nothing special. but i am comfortable with it. My issue is I lack any creativity! I am hoping this is a skill (design) that can be learnt! I've tried wireframing, but it looks like a 2 year old did it! Any resources you guys would suggest?

How do you measure your webdesign works well for users?
Hi Attila! adding to the above post, i would look for a measure of interactivity. For example, what is the user clicking on? (maybe an image, expecting it to be a link?) how long they're on the page, what journey is the customer taking. What pages is no one visiting? Do some pages have a higher bounce rate than others? Also, if the interactivity confusing for the user or am I leading them well enough with my design? I am sure there are solutions out there that do this, hotjar maybe? one that jumps to mind. Might be worth having a look at existing solutions and seeing how you can improve as well as adding value! Good luck!

I'm happy to do some pair coding with you, if you'd prefer to learn while doing? as for courses, if thats the route you prefer, Udemy has some really good ones.

Resource Duplication
Hi Guys I've come up with a bit of an issue. I am adding WP to a sub directory. I am trying to carry over a bootstrap theme (learning as I go) One issue that I've come up with; I feel should be simple to fix put for the life of me I can't work it out. So my root directory looks something like this : css, js, fonts, images, blog (folders) WP is installed to the blog directory. The directory of my theme that I'm making is /blog/wp-content/themes/bootstrap. This is also where the index.php is. I am finding it difficult to link to the root directory resources, for example; i want to pull an image from the root directory for index.php using /images/background.jpg from what I gather, what this is actually doing is looking for the images folder in themes/bootstrap/images/ I am also having the same issue with the CSS files, having to duplicate them and add them to the theme folder rather than look them up from the root directory.. What is it I am clearly missing? Thanks

Rogue Character on page
Hi Guys, Can you help me out please. www.poweredbysolutions.co.uk at the very top of the page there is a rogue '<' I've looked and looked and looked and I can't find the extra character in the HTML. It's starting to annoy me now. I'm hoping a fresh set of eyes can spot it for me. Thanks

footer not aligning
Hey, I implemented the changes; about the shadow, do you mean on the 3 floating icons or the powered by solutions logo? spell check complete One more thing - rather than start a new thread, I was hoping you could help with something. on the 'contact us' page (i know its horrid) I have social icons. One of the icons on hover goes green. I can't make the rest do it. Can you suggest what I can do to fix this please? Thanks.

footer not aligning
Thanks for checking. No, I don't need it there. I will probably replace it with company address and registration number shortly, I was just playing around to see if volume of text was messing with the alignment. On my laptop, the whole left column seems to be shunted down a little but if you say it looks good, I'll put it down to my eyes On a phone, do you see the 3 circles that you were helping me out with earlier? one of them seems to be oval, any ideas why? They're all the same in the HTML. Thanks,

footer not aligning
Hello again, Can someone help me fix the alignment of the footer please? www.poweredbysolutions.co.uk the left column with the logo in seems to be too low. I've tried margins and padding but I just make it worse rather than better. Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong please? Thank you.
