Direct comparison between Heart Internet and TSOHost
Thanks to everyone for your help. I have decided to go with TSOHost. Their response to my questions has been right on the ball and precise too. In case there is anyone reading this thread the summary is, that its all to do with money (isn't it always). You either bill your customers direct yourself or let the system handle it for you as explained in TSOHost response, copied below: "However to clarify, the WHMCS system is not something we provide, so perhaps it was a confusing example. But if you wanted to use it (and it is available licensed from them) then you could do so and integrate it into the cPanel/WHM reseller hosting plan, and that is what a lot of hosting resellers do. WHM on the other hand, is just the reseller control panel which allows you to control the accounts, (just to avoid the confusion between the two)" Hope this helps in some way.

Direct comparison between Heart Internet and TSOHost
Please see following for an update. My questions and TSOHost response. From the response it would appear they offer two solutions but I'll confirm that when I sign up...... ******************************* Please refer to my requirements and confirm to me what package I need to purchase from you. 1. I need to host several domains for my customers 2. I need to give my customers access to their own control panel so they can purchase additional features such as domain names etc as well as set their own email accounts up. 3. I need my main site to offer anyone visiting it to create / order their own web space / make payment etc in much the same way as I am wanting to do with yourselves. Response: I'll break these up. 1. You can do this with most hosting accounts, so this will be no problem. 2. In order to do this you will need to be a Reseller. On either platform. 3. If you would like to build a website which will integrate into a billing system such as WHMCS (a popular system) then the cPanel/WHM option would be better for you, as this has the functionality to integrate at the moment, whereas the cloud does not.

Direct comparison between Heart Internet and TSOHost
MattRussell comment above, set me wondering so I asked the question of TSOHost. Does anyone have a TSOHost Re-seller domain that I can look at to see how it compares please??? Can anyone explain in English the comment below? Thanks This is the reply i received: "All our re-seller packages are white labelled however what you may be looking for is a cPanel/WHM re seller package which is a hosting platform which is commonly used by many re-sellers, including many of our own. Our packages on the cloud use our own interface, which is the cloud re-seller control panel. The cPanel/WHM re-seller packages are on single servers rather than the cloud, but offer the very common cPanel/WHM interface. I hope that makes sense"

Direct comparison between Heart Internet and TSOHost
Thanks for your reply. I am actually looking for: - website hosting for myself and clients - Clients to have access to their own control panel - Clients can make additional purchases - ie domain names etc - White label the site so it looks like me and not a hosting company - Email set up - SSL Certificate - Ease of use These are my main requirements. Thanks

Wordpress or MODx
I have a couple of sites that I need to convert to CMS version. I have already converted one other using MODx which went reasonably well. The user however is fining it difficult to understand the updating of it, but this may just be them. I've looked at Wordpress, the question I have is can I simple take my existing HTML screen design and use this as a Wordpress template like I can in Mod?. Does anyone have a preference and experience of both who could offer some advice on which is the best route? Thanks

Direct comparison between Heart Internet and TSOHost
Been reading the forum and lots of info on re seller accounts. Has anyone done a recent direct comparison between HeartInternet and TSOHost? I feel like a pendulum at the moment swinging one way one minute and then the other way. I have been with GoDaddy and that was an horrendous experience and currently with Fasthosts but they are very expensive in comparison. I am happy that I have narrowed my decision down to these two companies but which is best or is it just a case of flipping a coin? Appreciate any constructive feedback. Thanks
