DariusShojaei got a reaction from danieljoseph in Your thoughts on my site...
I disagree, the Jquery loads fine on my computer. I like the over all design, it's great. It's a good layout. I would also recommend maybe putting some weight to the over all text.

Two words, Media queries. To make your site truly responsive media queries and sub-sets of your css are needed to control how different aspects of your site will react on all devices.

I know you did say you are still working on the menu page, but the font size is set on the whole page which is effecting the nav bar as well, set it on your containers or reset it within the nav to sort this minor issue. I do like the on hove animate of the menu page.

The scroll effect is not targeting correctly, most likely this is down to content sections not being set to fill the screen height. Most modern browsers now understand the 'vh' and 'vw' units for sizes with a simple fall back for other browsers. ie
.article { height: 100%; // This is for old IE that don't understand the min-height min-height: 100%; min-height: 99vh; } If you have a little play with this Codrops tutorial you may find it helps.

I forgot to mention that using min-height: 100vh; can have an unexpected effect in some browsers.

    Hey,

I have been creating and updating my own small business website for the last few years and someone i know asked me to create a website for them.

He is starting a new consultancy business and i suggested that i could do a site for him for free so i could learn more about web design as i am naturally drawn to it as a hobby (at present - hoping to one day go pro!).

It has really stretched me as my small business is entertainment related so i could be more creative and work with graphics which is what i enjoy most but as a financial website the site needed to be functional, user friendly (majority probably 30+ years), content heavy, SEO friendly, print friendly, responsive, etc. I was used to making a creative, graphic based site with a few nice JQuery bits and bobs!

Anyway, i am slowly getting the site finished in my spare time and i feel i have nearly completed it.

I would really appreciate it if any of you have some suggestions / positive criticism to help me improve the site, particularly on my coding as i know it is a bit weak.

I have yet to finish the following:

Search feature - any help on this would be great. The slider on the home page some of the services content lay out. Add meta tags
    The URL is : http://www.paulcrookconsultancy.com/

    Thanks for your time.

    Daniel

It should be responsive, which it looks like it attempts to be but really isn't. The menu quickly dissapears when making the window smaller.

You should test your website with this tool, and it should look good in all sizes: http://responsive.is/

Hi Iems oo okay yeah I also agree with the colours... even though the colours are 'fairly' similar, especially the nav bar to my original site I think the fact that the opacity makes the red look a little strange which I may decide to change, will see what other options I have haha. Oo yeah i thought I would have problems.. I didn't want to make a 1 page site with a crazy amount of pages so thought I would make them bigger but I guess doing it that way can lead to the problems you have... will definately look into that thank you

Ahh yes i have just seen that... wonder why it has done that :S may have to google that one as I have no clue haha

oh and what do you mean? sorry im a little tired haha
