completed site
Hey, I liked the design of the website, it was minimalistic and effective, but the only thing that let it down in my opinion was the background. It was too obstructive and felt out of place. Overall though, it seems well made

Large amount of querys and bandwidth?
Hey, Nice to see your on a similar project. First off Ill just tell you that I am in very early development so I don't have a beta to show to you but as soon as I do, id be glad to show you though. Secondaly, my game works using basically tiles to make an image on the screen, so you might have say tiles that represent grass, pavements, water etc then in a database there will be a bunch of records with co'ords on them that refer to a tile on the map then next to each co'ord will be defined an image. Then the map is put together by first seeing where the user is and then pulling all the tiles from the database that are around him. the reason it needs to update so frequently is so you see the other users/monster moving around you, or is there a better way of doing this? :s thanks, Stanni P.S. Do you have a beta of your game to show me, id be very interested to see?

Large amount of querys and bandwidth?
Hey, I am currently in the process of designing a game I have recently thought of. It is a web browser based MMORPG which I believe is quite unique how it works. I have an issue I am thinking about which is about bandwidth and mass server load I may encounter from the game. The game relies on a big mysql database and the game runs queries every 0.5 seconds to keep the player updated on what is happening. What I wont to know is, would that create a lot of strain on the server and will it require a lot of bandwidth? One other thing is that I am using Ajax to reload the data so the whole page wont be reloaded every time. Thanks, Stanni

New - Property Search
At a first glance it looks very professional, the colour scheme is nice and I can't see anything wrong with it. One thing I'll say though is that the logo looks kind of squashed in a way and I think it would look better if it was made a bit bigger. Other than that, great job

CSS, effecting other div
Hey guys, Is there a way, for example, using "#div:hover {}" in CSS to effect another div. So if you hovered over one div it would do stuff to another div. That would be mighty useful Thanks, Stanni

Conardgallery.com
Hey, I really like the design of your website, there isn’t very much I can say is wrong with it. The only thing I might say is that the main image at the top is maybe a bit too big and taking up allot of real estate on the page. Maybe you could create a box with a slight transparency on it inside the image, and put your "about us" text in it, then you could maybe put more sample art pictures at the bottom where it previously was. Other than that I love it, the green and dark grey colours really complement each other and the background pattern works well with the site. Great job

Hey, First off, thanks for the commenst guys. Maby I should have explained more about what I am doing. Yes this is another social networkign site, but I do have alot of unique ideas for it, the main concept of the site is for it to offer people better ways to "connect" to other people. Bata test PHP website
Hi, I have been learning PHP for about 2 weeks now and I have really taken an interest into the language and I thought I would like to make a project to develop my skills. So I started to build a social network, at first it was going to be small but then I couldn't stop making it so now I have big ideas for it. I'm at the stage where I think I would like to invite people to come create an account on it so that developing it would be easier as I could test that the features are working better, plus I'd like to get feedback on what I have also created. You will notice some of the pages are missing due to me not creating them yet, you can currently do the following: 1. Sign up 2. Login / logout with sessions 3. Add friends (although the search function hasn't been built yet.) 4. Edit your profile and upload display picture with a working resizer. Note: I am constantly working on this so if you come back daily or even weekly you will also find updates, I am very soon (probably tomorrow) going to build the about page which will inform you of all the updates. If you do wish to get an account go to http://www.contentcore.com If you do not wish to supply your real email address, I understand and welcome you to use a fake one but make sure it uses correct syntax as it won't be accepted i.e. example@mail.com would work. Thank-you, Stanni

How to render a perfectionist insane...
1. Teach him html and css. 2. Ask him to build a website 3. Introduce him to cross-browser compatibility. Why do internet browser developers have to make our life’s as web designers so hard. Don’t they realise that making their browser render the html slightly differently to maybe "make it look a bit better" makes our life’s so frustrating. Your views/opinions/comments on this maybe?
