  1. I would like to know whether there are any good shopping cart plugins for wordpress. I have come across phpPurchase and WP e-Commerce but they still lack features such as: 1) zoom function 2) automatic generation of thumbnails for products 3) Multiple product images 4) Confirmation email sent out on purchase 5) Different payment options other than paypal Are there any UK sites that use phpPurchase? I thought I could use Magento but I think its overkill for what I need. Any suggestions?
  2. You've got a great portfolio and real talent but with regards to the logo I don't think you need it underlined as it doesn't add any meaning to it and the logo does not standout as much. Perhaps you could also lose the gradient.
  3. I used to drink a lot of coffee but prefer tea and have about 4 cups of Assam and 2 cups of Organic English Breakfast.
  4. 57.2 out of 100. Well I know I'm geeky but apparently not geeky enough because I don't wear braces, shouldn't be married, shouldn't have kids.
  5. Thanks - you answered my question on a different forum
  6. Hi Folks, I have played around with modx and have built a site using it. I need to change one of my clients sites to use a cms as originally when I first built it the requirements were different. The site has a range of products but they do not want to sell online, do you think I could use modx and is it powerful enough to handle all the products on the page? My client's site is: Provence Any advice much appreciated
  7. Yes I agree! I may just have to look at this as a complete rebuild and come up with my own solution for her site, gather requirements, research shopping carts and merchants and all of that would be an extra expense which may push her to get those login details.
  8. I have a potential client who currently has a garden shopping site which needs revamping. Her website was originally done by a local generic web design company and I am unsure of the shopping cart which is driving her site so I have asked her for the login details so that I can take a look at the code. This is proving difficult to get a hold of. What I am unsure of is whether I need to start from scratch and make a quote that includes integrating a shopping cart and merchant service (aswell as the design)? She is happy with the way the site works just that it needs a revamp so shall I just get her to ask the original designer which shopping cart she is using? I think I may have to start from scratch anyway as I wouldn't want to upload new work to her existing host as the previous designers have the login details and I wouldn't want to go through a third party. Any ideas on how I could tackle this would be very much appreciated!
  9. Thanks for the replies guys, I will just stick to the statement in the footer!
  10. Hi, I am based in the UK and have designed a website and was wondering whether I have to pay and register for copyright? I know nearly all websites have the notice at the bottom of the page but do they all pay and register for copyright? I am not to sure whether you are automatically covered for copyright as soon as you display the notice, is this right?
