Deer all, I'm kinda new on this board and i hope i didn't overlooked an already existing topic about books.. I'm looking for some books about internet/online markering and SEO etc... There are tons of books available.. from €10,- till €200,- What books do you recommend? (and why) Thanks in advance for some usefull hints -Tony

Thanks to that website i came in contact with the cms called: MODx Well.... for me, this is absolute the best open source CMS in the world (for me that is)

Another point why CSS is better then table markup is data... Let me explain: Imagine you run a wide visited website that has a lot of pages (i.e. more than 100 pages)... This website generates a lot of traffic. Each character you use stands for 1 byte. We all know how the code of a table based site looks like... And when the site is a complex one, you really have a lot of code. This website is placed on a server where you pay for bandwidth or perhaps you own a server by yourself.... When transitioning to CSS you maybe have enough with a less heavy server... or maybe you only need one instead of two servers... or maybe, at the end of the month, you have 5GB data traffic instead of 10GB...

ah ok.. pooint taken.. Well, i just think that the most important element is to find a good balance between all option listed above. Sounds like a cliché, i know... But i think it's the truth. But if i have to choose one.. i think it's usability and accessebility.

My opinion on using tables as layout tool is very simple: tables are meant for tabular data... nothing more, nothing less. (page layout is no tabular data so tables aren't the tool to use)

I choose for something else... Things like design, proper coding, standards, accessibility, usability etc etc... It is all important offcourse. No doubt about it. but there's one more element that is much much more important... Up to date, usefull and trustworthy content

But as an European i feel more for the UK boards (no offence to Americans offcourse)... So Here i am now Oh by the way.... I'm busy with webdesign/developing/SEO/CSS/Standards etc since 2003 (in that year i started for the first time with CSS and W3C Standards) For the rest i'm very very passionate about MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
