cool design Seedism, It's always so cool to see work actually printed and implemented.

Was in the middle of making a webdesign but they decided to pull the plug prematurely They wanted to have an old TV (50's/60' style) to be the centre of the design. It's still a WIP btw, wanted to play around with it a little more (Needs a lot more depth) but probably won't get the chance to now that the client has bailed. All photoshop vectorshapes, except for the textures.

I get what you're trying to do with these logo's, but those awesome freehand logo's you see by the likes of Rob Clark etc. (http://www.robclarke.com/) are being made with math-like precision. Try using a grid when making them, set up diagonal lines to make sure all your letters have the same angle. Practice makes perfect. Good luck!

After quite some years of designing logo´s I´ve come to the realisation that maybe the most important element of a logo is weight. The weight of the lines, the font, the mark. Is there a right balance? Beginning designers often trouble with weight, finding the right balance. I've found that I needed a couple years to develop an eye that could correctly determine if a lockup is aesthetically pleasing, It's something you can only learn by doing. But It's very hard because you only notice It in retrospect, If I look at logo's I did years ago I think "My God what was I thinking!" but at the time I thought It was to the best of my aesthetical abilities. Long story short: Weight makes Balance. And Balance is Key.

Hey Mark, the font is called: Harabara http://www.dafont.com/harabara.font It has been greatly overused in my opinion though, the last couple of years I've seen at least 300+ logo's and a countless amount of websites using it. plus the tracking is awful, you can only use it If you're planning on tracking/kerning It yourself. Hope this helped
