What do you think of Wix?
But to be fair and to make more sense its professional web developers and designers that created these tools in the first place. So im basically asking people opinion on someone else's work. I completely understand however how web designers such as yourself may be threatened by these online tools. Because lets face it, technology advances so fast every year and eventually these tools like wix will become so advanced there wont be any need for us front end guys. Where do you think business for web design will be in the next few years?

What do you think of Wix?
Was just taking a look on wix.com I want to learn flash in making websites and a tiny bit of animation on it. I want a new portfolio web for my self though. 1. Is wix worth using to make it? 2. What are your opinions of it if you have used it before? 3. Can you buy a full domain for it once its done? So it doesn't have the /wix.com at the end.

Making my div / css box static
Good afternoon So you can see here http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/ver2-website-2012.html that the div/css box is not sticking to the right hand side of the website. Im trying to figure out how to make this fixed to the right, so I can start adding promos and content in there. You can see it moves around the place when you minimise the window etc. What am I doing wrong? Any extra advice much appreciated. Thank you

Redirecting 1 Domain to Another Domain
Oh btw forgot to mention with my hoster the destination for for all of these have the same directory as spartansafety.co.uk so: http://www.hivisorange.co.uk/sffw11_steelite_thor_s3_boot.html & http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/sffw11_steelite_thor_s3_boot.html is the same file.

Redirecting 1 Domain to Another Domain
Hey guys So I our website is spartansafety.co.uk. I have bought hivisorange.co.uk, railwayhivis.co.uk and some others. The reason for this is because we are attempting to get better google searches for anyone searching the words included in the domain names. (not sure if it'll work) So the problem is we obviously don't want anyone to see different web addresses with the same content, but instead have a way to seamlessly redirect them to spartansafety.co.uk or mask the address. Any ideas hmmm?? Thanks in advance P.S. (The sun is out. yay )

Hello All So i need to redirect 100s of old links that are already on google to our new site. I FTP the .htaccess file to the site but it didn't work out very well. get a 500 server error The way I have written it out is basically: RewriteEngine On Redirect 301 /acrylic-coss-armband-rw19221/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/COSS_Armband_acrylic.html Redirect 301 /fabric-protection-master-arm-band-rw19207/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/armbands_acrylic.html'>http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/armbands_acrylic.html Redirect 301 /about/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/abouts_us.html Redirect 301 /about/corporate-social-responsbility/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/responsibility.html Redirect 301 /about/ethical-code-of-conduct/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/code_conduct.html Redirect 301 /about/our-standards/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/standards.html Redirect 301 /about/the-environment/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/enviroment.html Redirect 301 /about/the-values/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/about_us.html'>http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/about_us.html'>http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/about_us.html Redirect 301 /about/the-vision/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/about_us.html Redirect 301 /about/who-we-are/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/about_us.html Redirect 301 /contact/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/location.html Redirect 301 /contact/apply-for-an-account/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/register.html Redirect 301 /contact/email-subscriptions/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/help.html Redirect 301 /en-standards/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/enstandards.html Redirect 301 /landing-page/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/home.html'>http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/home.html Redirect 301 /our-most-popular-armbands/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/armbands_acrylic.html Redirect 301 /personal-protective-equiptment/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/personal_protection.html Redirect 301 /rail-specific-products-2/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/home.html Redirect 301 /s-rated-footwear/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/footwear.html'>http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/footwear.html I read somewhere that i should put a " at the beginning and end of the url. so it would be: Redirect 301 /s-rated-footwear/ "http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/footwear.html" and not: Redirect 301 /s-rated-footwear/ http://www.spartansafety.co.uk/footwear.html by the way the old site is a wordpress site. Any ideas what i should do? thanks.

Old website still being found in Google
What they wanted in the workplace was an image based easier navigation site to view products. Simulating a catalogue. With no other functions, however I didn't realise I would have to add something into the ALT for all images for the site to be picked up easier, which I will get on with soon. Do you know what I have to type in the htaccess file or can link me to a good tutorial? Someone else told me type "redirect 301 /old/old.htm http://www.you.com/new.htm" but i didn't understand that clearly. Thanks

Old website still being found in Google
was just reading about 301 redirects on googles webmaster page. They say to contact my hoster who is 1&1, which is funny because 1&1 told me to contact google.
