I am new to freelancing and I have my first few lined up jobs now comes the fun part. I got a accountant to help me with taxes, but, should I get a lawyer or not? I live in PA in the united states and I want to know what it takes to make a contract that keeps ME AND the customer safe from being scammed. Help/links/general guidance? Thank you

Oh, the United States. Any sources to explain contracts to me? Does that guarantee they won't still a design for a site? Like if I pre-build it on photoshop, send them a .jpg of the template.

I am starting a free lancing thing between my friends and I in college and I am hoping to get a few questions answered if someone feels like telling 1. Do I have to have some kind of permit? I do not plan on making a lot of money off of this yet. 2. How do copy writes work? As soon as I make it do I just say its mine? My name is Thomas Balaban. Hmm where to start.... I am a student at PTI which is a extremely popular school in my area, and the only that has a up-to-date web design program near me. I am 19, and have a years experience with xhtml and css, about 5 years experience with photoshop. I am not the best designer, but I strive to be one of the best. I love messing around with websites! I am actually hoping to start free lancing to afford gas money for college, but, it seems unlikely, and I will have to continue bottom of pit part time job. I really want to learn more design techniques, and grow a lot more confident in my ability, and maybe learn some animation
