  1. May be worth checking out the type of support each company has. Telephone and live chat may be quite important if you are encountering issues etc. As mentioned above though, any shared hosting package sounds like it'd suit your needs.
  2. Hi, I don't see a problem with hosting it on a VPS if you require full access and that extra stability and control. There are a few things you will need to decide on, Do you require a control panel to navigate and control your server, the main Control Panels are Plesk and cPanel. I'm guessing you're based in the UK (according to your profile) so I'd assume you want a UK based company with decent support. Regarding your website, does the software you are running require a particular Operating System such as Windows? Sorry about all the questions Thanks.
  3. You may want to contact your web hosting company and see if they can scan it for you, it's possible it may have been attacked. Let us know how you get on.
  4. Or in the options in outlook you could just change it to "Keep copy of mail on the server"

Also remember that having a control panel may indeed take up quite a bit or resources. From my experience Plesk can be quite resource hungry, If you have the technical expertise to manage the server without a control panel, I'd recommend that.
  6. Another way would to set your PC up as the web server: http://www.wampserver.com/en/ I find it best to do it this way to ensure once I upload a site it works flawlessly.
