What else I can do to get better search position?
I agree, I need to work more on the content. In fact I just launched a Blog section half an hour ago with 7 articles for a start. That should bring some attention too. I still need to optimise them in terms of keywords and put some <strong> tags maybe in the content for the keywords I am interested in. Still plenty to do, but I would definitely try to use my keywords in the URLs, I have already done this for the portfolio page (portfolio-web-development.php), but that needs to be changed to something like "portfolio-web-design-london.php" I guess. Thanks for your comments and I am glad you like the design

What else I can do to get better search position?
You are probably right I could focus on other phrases too but this is the same task in my opinion. If I have to do plenty of work why taking shortcuts? And one more thing... I know in person owner of the company who is in top 10 (if not 5) for that phrase and believe me, if I knew the guy who did the SEO for them I would definitely contact him because it was VERY cheap and took only 2 months to see the results (that's what I have been told). Unfortunately I cannot reach him for obvious reasons, I am a competitor so nobody will give me his contact details. Anyway, their website is crap and their services are nothing in terms of quality compared to what I can offer for my clients. I believe I can take big cut of potential clients from these companies. Besides, I investigated their website and trust me, they don't even have redirection from non-www version which should be treated as duplicated content. There is nothing special there, not so many valuable back links, even grammar errors on the website... And for that reason, I believe I will hit that top 10 at some point. I am currently developing a blog section and writing some articles already to push them live soon. I am also trying to get some back links. The annoying thing is, some people really don't have idea what they are doing, they outsource most of the work to india and other cheap countries, they do **** stuff, but appear in top 10 on google. Seriously, I have seen how they work and it's not the way I see this...

What else I can do to get better search position?
That all make sense, I am prepared to spent much more time to get to the proper position. So apart of good content and quality backlinks what else would you suggest to focus on? Also, I you are absolutely right about "Free quote", I need to change that to simply "get a quote". Thanks for your comments! Lukas

Membership and backend
I would go for custom php code. If you're doing well with php this is nothing difficult to create. Use a framework like cake or codeigniter just to have the secure login on the site. Then create a database to store all that data and print them for the staff and clients depends of their permissions. I reckon it will take few days to create (max 1 week) Most of the time you will spend creating a front-end and forms etc. Functionality sounds like a peace of cake... And it's good to learn something new even if it will take a bit longer, they should have money to pay you for the decent peace of software

What else I can do to get better search position?
hi everybody and thanks for your answers and suggestions. It all make sense what you write here, at least theoretically So I have all my keywords in the header and the content. I also have links to the pages containing keywords. I have separated all the content from the presentation etc. I have also checked the competition websites and all the code and content. Seems like these on the first page of results do some dodgy tricks. For example they use different links on the page to point to the same page over and over again. Also they have plenty of "the same" content from user point of view. Of course it's unique for google but when I enter the website as a potential customer it annoys me I have plenty of reading but everything sounds the same. You know what I mean, for me that type of "navigation" on the website just sucks. I want to have clear structure not a circus like them. The problem is, I know all that but I really don't want to be one of these companies. There are few interesting suggestions here and I must agree the blog will be great solution. Also something unique and interesting will get the proper reputation, that's true. By the way I have just invested some small money into AdWords to get the proper impact too... funny, some clicks will cost me over £2.00! Lukas

What else I can do to get better search position?
hi guys, I recently launched the company website. I've done plenty of things to improve the search rank but still have a long way to get through.. I think. If you could have a look quickly, can you suggest something to improve my SEO? code-digital.co.uk Few questions: 1) When I link to facebook or twitter, does it affect my PR? Should I add "nofollow"? What's your opinion about this? 2) Do you think blog section would improve my position? Probably yes, but I don't want to attract web developers, I want to attract potential clients, what do you think? 3) I want to be in the first 10 for "web design london" phrase for the UK region... Ps. I am not really the fan of black hat seo to be honest. I can do some tricks but I don't want my potential clients to keep clicking over the website to land on the same page each time without any reason or link stupidly every interesting phrase etc. Another words, I really want to be in the top 10 but without loosing that nice impression when entering my website. Thank you for all your suggestions!

two domains, one website - what should I do..
hi guys, I have two domains .com and .co.uk pointing to the same website. I am not sure if it's a good idea. Google might thing it's a duplicated content. Besides I think I would like to own both but redirect always to the .co.uk one and keep this one as a main domain. What should I do and how can I do this? I have changed the address via google webmaster tools. I have google analytics account for domain .com but accepting stats from multiple domains (not sure if it works properly because it's hard to verify) so this is done too. I would like to have finally a situation when someone comes to my website (or subpage) for .com domain to redirect them to the same subpage but with .co.uk Also, I don't want an url without (www) at the begin. Any other things I should do or be aware of to achieve this? FYI, the site is located here: www (dot) code-digital (dot) com www (dot) code-digital (dot) co (dot) uk [sorry I cannot submit links yet] PS. sorry if this is wrong section but I guess you guys here will have best knowledge for seo reasons. Thanks Lukas
