I find that the more you do it the faster you get - as with most things - but you can actually knock out something pretty quickly regardless of complexity. Do structural things in blocks and fill them out and then add css, then move on. JS and interactions are added at the end. Also using a decent IDE will help you go far.

Nobody's answering your thread because you're basically asking someone to do it for you rather than researching online and trying out some more javascript/jquery interactions with your dropdowns.

I think you should learn a bit of PHP&MySQL first and step away from Dreamweaver thereafter as the design IDE will hold you back and make you learn things incorrectly.

@rallport, I said "intended as a more advanced imgur alternative." I did not say anything about "pinterest".. This was not intended as trying to copy any specific site, I just thought the grid layout that was used was the best way to show vast amounts of content on a single screen. Obviously it is too similar due to this fact and therefore requires some alterations to break away from your excellent crits so far. Thank you everyone!

Hello to you all! I have been a member here for sometime now and have found it a great resource of knowledge. We are a web development company based in London England and we create bespoke software for many clients around the world. One of our latest releases is called SiteInfo and it gathers information about any provided domain and allows any user to update the information once every few hours. Our most up-to-date version lets the site's users create a free account and "watch" domains so they can see how each of the domains competes and basically lets the site-owner watch their site grow or not! I would like to post this thread here to invite webmasters to try out this free service and then provide feedback on any suggestions, bugs found or potential feature requests they would like if they are at all interested. Also sloppy HTML makes life harder when maintaining it later on. - I'd like the site to be viewable on mobile devices as well, can I just code it normally? By mobile devices, do you mean wap or smartphone browsers? The latter works very similar to your desktop's browser, so yes.

Your main issue there seems to be padding really. IE and FF(and others) don't see padding entirely the same way. FF tends to add it inside it's own container and IE likes to add it to the outside of it's own container. This obviously makes the width larger too! On your contact page you should clear the float after each row too! You could try adding a max-width: as well as overflow:hidden the main map div!

You could also create a wildcard subdomain on the root domain (*.domain) and then let PHP control what to show according to the URL detected! This is a great way to do it without having to mess with cPanel/Plesk stuff or keep subdomains data/files in different places on the server.
