Spacing in IE

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I am having trouble with a current project. It seems like everything is in place but a few things decide to move themselves in Inernet Explorer.

It works fine on my PC in all browsers (Running windows XP) but a colleague of mine is running Vista with IE and does small things like Cuts the top of the title off of the <h6> tags if they are to close to the top of the page.

Another problem i am getting is i have 3 div's combined to create an outline of a box and on the 1st box the top div is shifted slightly to the right.

Remove the spaces from the link above and see if you can see it..

Also on the contact page the boxes are supposed to sit on top of each other where on this other machine IE has moved them because of the spacing somewhere.

If anyone could suggest anything, I would be very greatfull!

Thanks,

Josh

Your main issue there seems to be padding really.

IE and FF(and others) don't see padding entirely the same way.

FF tends to add it inside it's own container and IE likes to add it to the outside of it's own container.

This obviously makes the width larger too!

On your contact page you should clear the float after each row too!

You could try adding a max-width: as well as overflow:hidden the main map div!

When you say they might not see padding the same way.. am I going to have to find a way so they look as close as possible on the both exlorer's?

Or is there a way of fixing IE's sucky problem? :p

Thanks,

For a start, I'd remove one of the two HTML tags that you've got on every page.

Thanks for pointing that out, I have removed the extra <html> tag although that has not made any difference.

Thanks,

Josh
