one other thing , after doing a woorank report it states:- Language Declared: en-us Detected: en how do i change my declared to en british ? as this might be causing a issue with my site been seen as been in the U.K , is this somewhere in the Header code ? thank you.

After doing some research i have changed my geo tagging info in my header to now read :- was my previous geo tagging data incorrect ? is the below correct coding for meta names <meta name="geo.region" content="GB-LDS" /> <meta name="geo.placename" content="Leeds" /> <meta name="geo.position" content="53.793202;-1.589144" /> <meta name="ICBM" content="53.793202, -1.589144" />

I'm not sure with regards to there been more relevant sites in the uk only search....but a lot of the same names pop up in the non uk search also . is my geo location correct ? below is from my sites <meta name="geo.position" content="53.8, -1.583333"> <meta name="geo.placename" content="Leeds, England, United Kingdom"> <meta name="geo.region" content="uk-gb"> is uk-gb correct ? or should it just be UK ?

I have been recommend to list my site with yahoo local pages in the u.k and the same for bing local pages , this should help flag up my site as been uk listed. its amazing that my site is in top 3 spots on yahoo.com and bing.com for non uk search ! but hardly ranks for uk search , fingers crossed the uk local pages for bing and yahoo will make a difference.

How do i set Bing and Yahoo to detect my site is for the U.K version of the search engine ? My site ranks on the first page for lots of top terms on yahoo.com , but on yahoo.co.uk and the same for bing, its on page 5 or worse in general..... so i assume there is a method to tell yahoo and bing that my site is designed for the U.K market i have webmaster accounts for bing and yahoo and i have uploaded sitemaps . please how do i do this... My site is on a U.K server and i have set my geo location to the U.K , my site is a .com , but i guess that should not matter to much.

hi , basically it started off by installing w3c cache plugin , that made a great speed improvement to my site , but it caused my site's www's and non www's to not resolve , so google was seeing my website pages as duplicate content !! i would like to know how to fix that !

Hi Web guru , thank you for that , but how do i do that please , my site with out w3 cache works 100 % with resolve for both www and non www , w3 cache made a big difference to the speed of my site .

No i'm not spamming each is a different topic IMHO the link i have put on my post page on my wordpress site , always opens up a new window , what should i be using instead of just http://www.notarealwebsite129292.com , this shows a hyperlink on my wordpress site , but it opens in a new window. Please i would like to know how the link should be put onto my post for it Not open a new window...but to just go back to my homepage....please

Hi , Yes i agree Yoast does seem to be the best one , there is a good few people complaining about issues and i have every faith it will be updated/fixed , with the week i imagine , but was wondering if there was a better one , i shall hold out for Yoast update.

Wordpress Seo , posts optimised for SEO am i taking the strength from the homepage?? Basically , when i do a post on my website , i use the pretty url’s e.g Show-plates.com/show-plates-latest-news With me using my website name , in the post will this be taking any of the strength away from my front page , each time i post i am adding a page to the site....does this in any way devalue the front page ? On some of my posts i am using a backlink to the front page or to the “number plate builder “ page , is this good or bad ? am i redirecting seo strength back to the front page ?

Okay , total newbie...basically on my posts i want to link back to my home page .but when i use http://example13338.com it opens a new page, but i would rather the page just went back to the front page or any other page i link to but not open a new window. is this good or a bad thing to do for s.e.o ?

based on advice from another forum , they suguested i put /%postname%/ in the custom part on the permalink options , that did the trick , i also had a plugin for forced no caterogy also all is working like new again.

yes , i had it set before to , have pretty urls , so it forced sitename.co.uk/name-of-post , if i set the permalink back to one of the permalink defaults , then all the posts have a unique name , but i want the pretty type for seo , it was all working fine , until i played with a few cache plugins , super-cache is the one i think caused the main issue....so i think for someone it would be fairly easy to fix .

help please:- www.resolve issue my site is failing the check at woorank.com i generally use woorank.com to give my site a quick check over. my site :- www.show-plates.com , running the latest version of wordpress Right up until today my site has always passed the www resolve , stating well done your site is resolving correctly but now my site does not pass the check the message shown is :- Be careful! Your website without www doesn't redirect to www (or the opposite). It's duplicate content! I have checked google webmaster tools and i have not changed anything there , i have had it setup from day one that the non www. resolves to the www. and the www. is set to resolve to the www. help please the site is pretty much just starting to get a good ranking and dont want to go down the rankings because of so called duplicate content .....
