.......when your project is nearly complete and then the customer (who happens to be your wife) says, "can it also do this?". Which means that you are going to have to re-code almost 60% of the site to include the feature and when you said 2 months ago "is there anything else you need it to do?" and the reply was "no, that is everything". AARRGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

I think they are tied to the domain names that they are issued for, I may be wrong.

There is a good book available from Amazon called 'Online Marketing Inside Out' by Sitepoint. I bought this for my partner for her to read and it is quite good for explaining different types of site promotion.

Having a look in firebug and it seems though the containers body and left are not wide enough so you have that large gap inbetween. Highly recommend the firebug plugin for Firefox to solve these issues.

Without seeing the code, it looks like a float/clear issue.

Do you have a URL for the site so we can view the source and have a look.

Have to agree on the stars, they don't look right. Maybe because they have a worn effect where the text doesn't.

Out of the two I prefer the first one

Prefer Opencart for its ease of use for both developer and client.

I had a client recently where I had to install a forum on their website where the majority of users would be people with learning disabilities. I needed a forum that was accessible and easy to use with minimum functionality so the page wasn't too clutered with buttons and links. I decided to use PUNBB as it was easy to use and had the amount of functionality that was required. I then added a text size and colour scheme switcher myself to suit the customers requirements. Has anyone heard of and used cakephp. The Url for the dev site is cakephp.org The reason that I ask is because I don't see how it works or what it actually is. My guess is that is just a library of custom functions that you can call into your scripts but I may be well off the mark.

An easy way to validate and sanitize an email field is using the 'filter vars' function available in PHP version 5.20 and later. I created a contact form using this available here. Download it and you should be able to extract what you need.

When I got the mail from the client it was the exact point that I lost interest in the job. Its the same with any tradesman, if they are paid right for the job it makes them happy and they take pride in their work.

He actually forwarded the quotation from them in the email to me so I do believe it to be correct. He did state that he had a third quote but didn't mention that one, maybe it was for £20,000

Exactly what I did, my quote by the way was £1350 for the complete job as I estimated about 6 days complete work.
