I see how you are going for the less is more approach but I feel like it needs a little bit of a secondary colour. Something that will give it a little bit of an identity. Right now the black and white is a little dry. The layout is nice though.

Yes, it's supposed to be a showcase of beautiful site designs. To help with inspiration when other designers need it. The fact that you were unsure of the sites purpose worries me. I think I'm going to add a banner to the top that explains it more clearly. Like a single sentence. Great feedback :)

You can manually submit your website to Google. I also recommend submitting it to a bunch of design galleries like best web, css remix or mine (Pixery Web Design Gallery)
