Hi, Thanks, I think I have not written my queries very well. What I am proposing is that two domains are bought. One which is based on the client's company name, which might be Jack Bloggs builder and the other "builder north london" for example. I create the "builder north london" website and then set website forwarding from domain Jack Bloggs to the "builder north london" website. The builder can then use his personalised company name on his visiting card and office stationery. The "builder north london" website will be designed to use "jack bloggs builder" on the masthead etc. A search using builder, north, london, would hopefully find the jack bloggs website, or would it? geoff

Hi I have at least one client who has opted to get their own domain name based on their business name. Unless someone is searching for the business by name, the web site is unlikely to be found searching with keywords that represent the business. Some of these clients have a trade directory listing that helps, but I would have preferred them to have obtained a domain name with some of the keywords that would be most likely to be used by would be customers. I am thinking of buying a more suitable web domain name and then do a website redirect to their website with their personal domain name. For example, builderlondon.co.uk is redirected to jackbrown.co.uk the builder's website. Would this help to overcome the rather poor domain name choice? Or am I getting this wrong? Geoff
