    Hi,

Firstly, buying keyword rich domain names will help get you ranked higher in the search engines in the short term, as I'm sure you are aware but using a business name is far more marketable.

Google will however, rank you higher in the SERPS in the long term based on the relevance of your content and the amount of quality incoming links you have.

Think of companies like Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, PayPal and eBay, as well as millions of others. They are brand-able names, not keywords based on business niche. In the long run, I think it would be far more beneficial for the company to use their business name in their main domain.

What I would do is purchase keyword rich domain names and then 301 redirect them to the www.businessname.co.uk domain name. Your covering all bases then.

    Hope this helps.
