  1. Hi there, MK5 Hosting has the following offerings: http://mk5hosting.co.uk/hosting.php I'd also agree with 1und1 and 123Reg, both shocking hosting services.

Have you tried sending an email to yourself from an external source. Have you tried sending your self an email from your email account which is having issues. As I said, ask to be moved servers. Which is going to save you a lot of troubles.
  3. Okay seems "normal" to me. Are you running Apache as a service? What is the web server doing?
  4. In my personal opinion, Heart is one of the ones you need to be carefull with. The "unlimited" is never unlimited and Heart will be overselling their servers and could cause potential issues for your business.
  5. Welcome to WDF. I would recommend a reseller package. You can take a look at our offerings here: http://mk5hosting.co.uk/reseller.php
  6. What is the web server doing exactly? when happens when you go to http://localhost? What browser? How much RAM, is your machine using / have left? Have you stop Apache and restarted it? And do you have Apache running as a service or not?
  7. Welcome to the forum. I hope you enjoy the forums.

  9. Okay as I thought, Windows servers don't have CHMOD or any permission setting via FTP. The only way to get permissions set, is to ask your webhost to set them in IIS. They can refuse the request but if they are a "good" web host, I see no reason why, unless it's a security concern.

Sometimes, this can be "out of a web hosts" powers. Sometimes, a domain can be spoofed and the user doesnt report it and the IP gets reported and the web host is none the wiser until, a user reports this. I am sorry to hear, you are having trouble, you could be asked to be moved to a different server or be given a "dedicated IP".
  11. The same is said about a variety of things. Many things indeed. Why, why why? Yes you can make a site free of chrage but is it really going ot properly and or give a profesional image to your client. After all, your website should be a key part in your branding and or marketing stratergies and, In my opinion, if I was to buy something from a company where the website don't cut it, then I simply won't bother and find somebody else. These are my personal views and not of my company.
  12. A server price is dependant on a few things. * Specs * Locations * Software Required * Support Required. Do you have the experience the look after a server, do you also have the time to look after it? These are all the things you should be considering and if considering a dedicated server, you should be looking for some form of management, to look after the server for you.
  13. Have you got access to SSH or shell at all? Is this Windows or Linux Hosting? Have you tried a different FTP program?
  14. Again, I am afraid its a hard lesson to be learned when it comes to overselling and or "cheap" hosting. Hostgator is a prime example of overselling. A good word of advice, would be to stay away from "Unlimited" deals, they can and never will be unlimited, unless they invent an unlimited hard drive Sorry to hear you had such a bad experience.
  15. Hiya, Just to throw a spanner in the works here, a reseller doesnt have to used for just "reselling" alot of people, use it for hosting multi domains etc.
