Why is my website broken in IE?
yeah... the asterix (*) means "any number or letter"... 6 (amongst other things) falls into the category of "any number or letter" .. it also falls into the category of "the age at which children are most annoying", but thats another story.

Why is my website broken in IE?
I'll do the obvious and monotonous suggestions first: - stop using tables for structure - its naughty - move script + styles into seperate files you may find that these two will solve your problem and speed up your site

you could set up a seperate box to run it on from old parts... I for one have about 5 old processors in the house, ranging from 100mhz up to 1800 mhz, and harddrives from 300mb to 60gb...

Jquery - Dynamic Forms With Jquery Or Similar
woops i made a mistake. code shoudl be this: $( function() { $("select#checkhide option").click( function() { var checkfor = $(this).parent().attr("checkfor"); var showid = $(this).parent().attr("showid"); var needle = $(this).text(); if(needle == checkfor) { $("#"+showid).show(); } else { $("#"+showid).hide(); } }); });

Jquery - Dynamic Forms With Jquery Or Similar
verygood Daemon Byte. If you want to keep it jQuery, heres how: HTML <select id="checkhide" checkfor="other" showid="colorinput"> <option>red</option> <option>blue</option> <option>other</option></select> <input id="colorinput" /> jQuery: $( function() { $("select#checkhide option").each( function() { var checkfor = $(this).parent().attr("checkfor"); var showid = $(this).parent().attr("showid"); var needle = $(this).text(); if(needle == checkfor) { $("#"+showid).show(); } else { $("#"+showid).hide(); } }); }); This is probably the weirdest way to do it, but it requires no onclick / onchange in the select, nor any javvascript editing to make it work for different selects.

How do I open a link in a Parent Window?
other than the obvious bits that this is possible the worst way to do anything, and it wont work in many browsers... there are plenty of tutorials out there, try http://www.javascriptkit.com - thats right im putting the responsibility on someone elese shoulders!

Second Life: People making a good living?

Second Life: People making a good living?
from what i have read (suprisingly from "New Scientist" magazine), there seem to be as many people getting their asses sued as their are making money. Someone sued someone else because they got murdered, other "crimes" include theft, extortion (like mafia money), blackmail and so on.

www.blogabeat.com
its alright after the top 150px... the header really lets it down. It just isn't big enough / loud enough in the header - the logo is too understated, so much taht it is hidden against the rest of the site.

Overflowing text from one div into another...
css: overflow: visible; ? unless you mean like the first column has 50% of the content, and it continues in the second column? If so CSS3 has features like this, but it is sparsely supported. The only real option is to use PHP to split the text.
