i cannot burn onto cd/dvd because my drive went awol two weeks ago,i need some kind of entry into ms dos through the floppy, i have also had a strange events in bios because the clock has gone wrong, i cannot change the date to today,i have swapped the battery with my other pc and it has the same effect,the time you can set but the date will not set,if anybody has any ideas?

no i noticed my mcafee popped up and said it noticed a virus but could not clean it and when i switched it off it wouldn't boot back up,i think it is a boot virus because safe mode as been disabled.

no this is not a sketch from a carry on film,firstly i had a fraud email from my bank(looked real),anyway sent an email to my bank asking if it was from them,they sent me two emails back one thanking me for letting them know and another with an attachment which i opened (i know,i know)i was sent a very nice boot virus ,i cannot start my pc now it will not start from safe mode or boot disks,i have no recovery disks anyway secondly i removed my memory modules(don't ask)and then i went down stairs to get a drink leaving my memory on the pc table,my daughter thought it would be fun to play with them(dohhhh!!!!)then she placed them nicely on top of my macromedia mx2004 cd and completely wiped them,so i now have a pc that keeps looping on load up,no memory and no mx2004......does anybody have any ideas on how i can remove this potent virus?

i have just attempted to change my phpbb skin and have completely wiped the forum offline,i have a error appear saying phpBB : Critical Error Could not open new phbb skin template config file DEBUG MODE Line : 503 File : functions.php i cannot change it back to the original skin because i cannot access the access panel,i have just tried looking for the file via ftp but with no success,my host do not want to know because php is not backed up.i now feel naked without my forum can anyone help.

thanks,i have done all the above but with no joy,i do have google visit nearly daily because i have analytics,but it is not the googlebot(deepbot) that lists all pages,i don't know if to add a sitemap because i have just over one hundred pages,and also i have a forum that is only being used currently by spammers,your thoughts would be appreciated???

no,sedo listed it with rank 78,actually just checked and it now says 61,i haven't checked with alexa http://www.sedo.co.uk/search/details.php4?...&language=e if you click on the check domain at the bottom it will show its current statistics

i can't understand alexa ranking i have a alexa ranked 78 domain name parked at sedo which should in theory earn me a fortune how come i only get thirty hits a day from it????,by the way this is not 78,000 but 78?????

thanks folks!!,i do find it hard satisfying firefox mozilla,under IE it looks perfect but mozilla is something else,everytime i hyperlink text it looks great under the test server but when i use mozilla it has every colour under the sun,also i had 286 errors i have now 4 errors which i dont understand.anyone shed any light onto this would be much appreciated??? 1. I have had a web page designed(so called) by somebody on Guru,whilst looking through the page in code i noticed something about html 4.01 transitional and W3C,so i looked up the web page W3C,i typed my new url of my new webpage into the Validator and it came back has "this page is not valid HTML 4.01 Transitional" with 286 errors,under inspection i was typing every url i could think of and they all came back with a bucket load of errors mostly "No Doctype",so my Question is how important is Validating your page with W3C,i have spent all day bringing the errors down to only 4,but these are google adverts causing these errors,and i still have "page is not valid HTML 4.01 Transitional",does anybody have any thoughts on this subject???

eskymo i am in need of your wisdom,firstly how many keepy uppies can you do on your website,secondly he who has used fireworks since time,i have a logo which has embedded buttons attached to it and i have tried fireworks to create a hotspot on these buttons,when i add the absolute url to the buttons everything seams o.k,i use the test server whilst on fireworks and it links to the page i want(great),when i have finished with fireworks it uploads to my site via ftp,it now doesn't show anything???,when you roll the mouseover it doesn't register.can you help me please. p.s when are you finishing your site,it has been down for a while???

the problem i am getting is that i have google ads on my website,which you are right they require activex,but explorer restricts it from running so i need to think of a way that will bypass explorer security,this does not happen whilst using mozilla firefox or the older type of explorer.if anyone could help please.thanking you

when you create a website how do you disable the security bar that stops you running scripts and active x(explorer),because i have google ads on my page and they only appear when i click on the security bar and disable that feature ,some people will have this permanently on so will avoid seeing all the advertising on my page,is there something that you could put in your program to combat this problem????

thanks,i don't know why???,but i created another folder on my ftp and directed the file into there and it seams to have done the trick,i haven't a clue why,but i can now download the program,i go onto my website and it executes the file instantly,i just changed the folder from private to private1,i must be jinxed

sorry that was a typo,i had already put that on the end.so if you was going to put downloads on your site what would you do,what steps would you take????

that's try it another way,how can i make my program "downloadable" from my website thats just say my file name is Becker.exe and the location is ftp://autozaar.com/private/ and i would like the link on my index page which is http://www.autozaar.com/index.html when i click on Becker.exe whilst i am on my ftp it opens instantly,but when i open my web editor i write "download Becker radio code here"on the index page where it will be located,i then highlight the writing and click right mouse button "make link",i then type http://www.autozaar....vate/Becker.exe into the link box(dreamweaver 8)it then underlines the text,job done????,i then use web browser and click on the link and it doesn't appear,i have tried manually to add this: <br><a href="http://www.autozaar.com/private/becker.exe>click here to download the Becker codes.<br>

i have some radio decoders to put on my site,i am right in saying that you don't after zip these files(exe),basically you should be able to click on the icon or word and the radio generator should appear,is there something that needs to be applied,the thing i am doing at the moment is creating an icon on the webpage i am designing ,clicking right button on the mouse and going to "make link" changing the url to where my exe file is kept,but when i look at the test server it just opens an empty page????

i am new to all this,so don't laugh. i am trying to use exe. files (executable)on my site with no success,i have uploaded all the files to my ftp and have put them all into a empty folder.basically i am doing exactly has i have with images,i have changed the direction from my documents to my website but it still doesn't open,i am probably miles from the solution,can somebody shed some light onto this matter,cheers

hi folks ,i have tried to add a header on my forum,and i stopped my forum from working,i have an error which is Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in e:\domains\a\autozaar.com\user\htdocs\index.php on line 468,i removed my header and i still have this error showing???? the error on line 468 is $template->pparse('body'); if anyone can help i would appreciate it,as i have no forum at the moment????

thanks for that,i reduced the colour palette available and changed from jpg to gif when possible,i have had no problems on uploading the page either,both in IE or firefox,i have been on a number of load time check sites and they think that it takes 65 seconds,then i changed images and reduced the quality and i am down to 46 seconds but apparently you should be looking at 30 seconds or less.

hi ya!!,i have just done a load time check on my newly built site,it takes approximately two weeks to load the page (65.46 seconds)apparently search engines spider will give up after 30 seconds or so,does anybody have any ideas the url is shown http://www.autozaar.com
