  1. I need to create a website with online booking facilities for a holiday let. Customers must be able to book and pay online. We need to have seasonal pricing and the ability to run special offers using coupons. I'm planning to use Wordpress and have been looking at the Booking Calendar plugin (onlinebookingcalendar.net) which looks perfect but I'm really put off by all the grammatical errors and spelling mistakes as it makes me feel nervous about how careful they've been with the coding. The version of this plugin that I would need is not cheap at $585 so I was wondering whether anyone else has used it and would recommend it or whether there are other plugins that I should be looking at. Thanks!
  2. Thank you so much. I've now asked her to do this.
  3. Hi, I'm about to start programming a site for a graphic designer who's designed the site using Illustrator. She has said, "It is originated in Illustrator, each page on a separate layer so I hope thats going to be ok? Maybe supplying as print ready PDF would be easier for you?". Now, at the moment I only have Photoshop Elements. I'm quite happy to upgrade to full Photoshop but don't really want to go as far as Illustrator. When working with the graphic designer it feels a bit like the blind leading the blind. She doesn't understand what Photoshop Elements can do and I don't understand what Illustrator can do. So, can anyone help bridge the divide and tell me what would be the best format for me to ask for the design in? I need to be able to separate the layers of her design really so would rather it wasn't flattened which I think a print ready PDF would be (am I right?). Many thanks for any help!
  4. I wouldn't implement it for every customer, only for those that specifically request it as not everyone wants to or feels comfortable updating their own website. Some of my customers have asked for a CMS but then never actually used it whereas others see it as a necessity.
  5. I've used Cushy CMS a few times. It's very easy to setup and use but has its limitations because of this. Clients have liked it too.
  6. Hi, I'm Elizabeth. I actually joined this forum back in April 2007 but haven't taken part much! Anyway, I hope to become more of the forum community now. I'm based in Wiltshire. I started working in IT in 1990 and have been involved in web development since about 1998. I'm hoping to expand my own business and am looking forward to talking to other web developers, graphic designers etc. Elizabeth Freeman, Wiltshire, UK
