  1. A tad too basic for my tastes, but overall quite good!
  2. Very nice website considering the content and who you're targeting!
  3. I really like the last pic you posted. Make the menu items more prominent and easy to see, preferably on the right than the top left.
  4. A little too basic for my tastes, but I like it overall. Nice use of flash!
  5. Nice logo, but change the boxes at the top, they feel too crowded and the bright neonish colours are too distracting and take away from the professionalism.
  6. Sorry, but it's not my cup of tea. The menu bar needs significant revision, the colour and gradient is just not very good. The light blue font colour is off putting as well, and the design overall needs more "pop"'.
  7. A tad too dark for my tastes, but the dark and orange does make a nice colour combo, and great work on the vector background!
  8. Yeah it takes forever to load and the experience overall is very slow and laggy. The design though is quite nice, just needs to be more optimized.
  9. Could you please post some of your work? Perhaps it would be easier to comment once we've seen what you can do!
  10. I prefer it with a background, though it looks good without a background as well.
  11. It is certainly an interesting take on web design, can't say I like the fonts and the colours used, but I do like cars so it works!
  12. I don't really like acers and I've never heard of that site, so I would avoid it. Good luck!
  13. This is true in a sense. I use a macbook pro with a 1440x900 display and sometimes it does throw me off with regards to design and how I perceive people to view the site versus how they actually see it on smaller lower res monitors.
  14. In short no, as in the hosting industry at least, there are much larger (1TB) drives that can be configured with either RAID1 or RAID10 with no problems.
  15. You may be perfectly fine with a good, non oversold VPS on an 8-core node and RAID-10 for I/O performance. You would get the same flexibility and control of a dedi for a fraction of the cost. With a dedicated server, you have absolute control over everything, which also means a lot of responsibility. When your bandwidth usage hits the TBs, its time to move up to a dedi.
