  1. +1 Good way to use it.
  2. Exact match domains were weighted down last year. But they are still are powerful - just not powerful in isolation without a lot of natural optimisation
  3. Strange one and I am sure I am missing something so please excuse me if I ma missing the obvious. I am working on this site http://www.webdesignjobs.co.uk When you do a search on Google for say Web design jobs this site is listed as : Web Design Jobs - London. For some reason it has added in London from somewhere as the title of the website. - see below I have spent ages - check the source code, the page title, meta tags etc. Why has Google added in the word London? I think this is now affecting the results i.e. non London searches and also the CTR. Any insight or help appreciated ! thanks. Web Design Jobs - Londonwww.webdesignjobs.co.uk/ There are hundreds of Web Design jobs advertised online now. We source Web Design jobs daily from all the top recruitment agencies and employers.
  4. Thanks Jason - that would be useful. To be honest I have never used spammy techniques at all - just some of the EMD now need more TLC to get them back up I assume. Where as before it was alot simpler to rank. But after analysing lots of anchor text ratios for over optimisation - it is really hard to see what is a good site and what isnt!
  5. Has anyone here been hot by the Google Exact Match Domain update? Any good references or recoveries would be useful to hear.
  6. Hi I have been passed a site by a developer I paid. I am not too techy. However in the Google rankings the www. dont appear when it lists the website. he doesnt know why. I dont think this looks too professional. When you click on the site there is no www. as well It doesnt seem to affect the browsing Any feedback welcome. Thanks. Thanks.
  7. Nice tips indeed
  8. Thanks web guru. That must be it. Cant remember how I added analytics last time then. Must have delegated :-)
  9. Hi - quick question... Last time I added Google analytics to a webiste, I am sure I just verified I am the site owner by add some code to the files. This was simple and I could then see all the analytics data. Now I am trying to add a new site that I want to see the tracking for and Google Analytics is asking me to add tracking to every page - which sounds abit harsh. can anyone help me how I can add analytics data for my new website. Hope this makes sense?! Thanks
  10. thanks. useful summary Mike.
  11. Can anyone suggest the best way to back up a website? I am doing some research to work out the best and simplest way. I use filezilla but this only does the files and not all the php scripts. Any simplistic advice or recommendations would be useful. Thanks.
  12. One word: Relevance thats what Google is based on....
  13. Please do let me know if you find. I have often wondered if we are found for thousands of keywords - how many are we No.1 for? I know it all changes but would be useful marketing info. I havent found anything as yet.
  14. Maybe a simple question I am sure, but Clicks on to your website when using an Iphone I assume still count as a visit on Google Analytics in the same way as using a PC? And I assume the IP address is based on the wireless network you are connected to or whether it is 3G. Sorry if this is a simple question - just trying to understand how iphone surfing is measured. Thanks.
