  1. I must ask: A: Do you guys get paid for all those hours? B: Do you's have your chairs/desk area setup in a ergonomical way - the reason I ask is, I'm only 26 and have RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury) in my shoulder and wrist, and once its set in, its extremely difficult to get rid of. Also I cant imagine it helps your eyes!

  3. A large section of Internet users still use IE6, for example, libraries, government departments and community centres, or those who for whatever reason, haven't updated. I would still definately check designs in IE6 to ensure consistency. I did have a link of the amonut of IE users, but it appears to be broken at this time :-( But it was still more than Firefox and Safari.

  5. did my GCSE's, 2 years at college and gained ND in GRaphic Design, did 2 years of a 3 year Degree in Design, Multimedia and Graphics and freelanced for 2 years before finally landing the job I wanted. Self-taught myself web design during school/college and still continue to learn. There is definately more than what was available when I was younger to learn web design; thousands of tutorials online so you can't really go wrong. Just practice and keep a notebook for bits of code and HTML tags etc.

  7. Off the top of my head: www.cgtextures.com www.texturez.com www.texturelove.com www.texturekking.com www.pixelgirlpresents.com www.imageafter.com
  8. I would similar, but different, so I think you are ok there; not everyone can be original lol
  9. Yes I used to be, and yeah quite a few offers of work but its a long process for them to get the go ahead and the money to do it.
  10. Yea these three words say totally different things to me, it might be worth looking at minimal, contemporary designs of you want to go down the Bauhaus route (not the band), alternatively, if it is for a fashion website, check out some 'competitors' to see what they are doing right... River Island Topshop Chanel Fashion Dolce & Gabanna etc etc
  11. I whole-heartedly agree; they don't really serve any purpose to the visitor except as a nuisance. Even I would be dubious about entering a website that asked for my details first; what are they upto?
  12. Welcome aboard!
