Hi everyone, I’m James

I’m James Brown from Los Angeles. I’ve been working in the digital space for a while, mostly focused on building simple, functional tools that run in the browser. I’m currently part of a small team behind some lightweight online utilities that help people with tasks like PDF handling, image tweaks, & file conversions basically trying to make digital chores a bit less painful.

I’m not a designer by title, but I really care about good UX and clean, intuitive interfaces. That’s part of why I’m here looking to learn more from folks who live & breathe design, & to keep improving the things I work on.

Looking forward to being part of the community!

Interested in this. Is it a full pdf editor? Can I install locally?

Hi! Thanks for the warm welcome.

It’s not a full PDF editor in the traditional sense more like a collection of quick, task-specific tools (e.g., compressing, rotating, adding color, converting formats, etc.). They're all browser-based, so there's nothing to install. Just visit the site, upload your file, & go from there.

We designed it to be super lightweight and easy for people who just want to get one thing done without downloading bulky software.

Happy to share more if you're curious!

Welcome, James

The PDF tool sounds awesome!

Thanks so much! Glad to hear that

We’ve been keeping it simple on purpose—just trying to make those small but annoying tasks easier for everyone. Appreciate the warm welcome!

I use this to do all that:

But keen to give your tool a go if you want to send me the details

Thanks for sharing that! Yep, totally familiar with iLovePDF it’s a solid platform.

Ours is in a similar spirit, but we’re focused on keeping each tool ultra-lightweight and clutter-free. No accounts, no popups just the basics for people who want to get in and out quickly.

The two tools I use most often are removing blank pages and compressing. Can't see these on your site.

Would also be much simpler to use your site if you had a better homepage layout. Ideally suited to a grid.

And make the main menu more visible! It's hiding way up at the top.

And you seem to have an unnecessary interstitial page which for some functions takes me to a new site. The UX could use some work as the UI isn't consistent across all functions.

Well done for what you have achieved so far. Just needs a bit of polish.
