Hello everyone! I am new on the Forum. I wanted to get some diverse opinions on my new site which I have created for my web design company. The site address is http://www.sterlingprm.com Most of the graphics are photoshop and I worked tirelessly on the copy writing which I think has turned out well. I am interested in some opinions! B)

I'd take that part out of the bottom of your homepage for starters. Your markup needs a fair amount of work - who did it? If it was a professional developer, you should ask for your money back. If it was you, you need to brush up on your skills.

Apart from that, the design itself isn't *too* ugly. You seem to have a mix of styles going on... you've got your glossy buttons in your sidebar, but then what looks like a bog standard photoshop brush with some butterflies on in the corner - what are the two supposed to have in common?

Dude I checked our your Portfolio site and the other site you made looks just like your personal site, you need to be more original.

Make different designs, I do not know how you came up with your banner it looks Ok I guess.

That 5 mistakes things Has got to go its not looking very well designed.

Overall the site looks quite dated have a look into the new trends of the internet that are out and make some new trends that are yet to come

From a copy point of view - it's fairly unwieldy and has fallen into the "corporate bland" trap. It also, like most sites I read, just tells visitors what you want to say, which isn't necessarily what a visitor wants to hear. It also doesn't engage or lead anywhere.

There's also too high a percentage of really long lists - I know all the advice says use plenty of bullet points but there's too much here, the items are too long and lists shouldn't dominate your copy. Design-wise for the copy - the main content needs to be a bit narrower, more line-spacing and bigger margins between paragraphs.

It's not bad copy, but it's not effective in it's purpose - you're writing to get visitors interested and then turn that interest to a sale, not tell them what you do. But don't feel bad, 90% of websites do the same!
