Partnership opportunity (web and app dev)

Featured Replies

Hello members,

I am proficient in developing websites and I am also developing my own apps self taught such as tinder, library management and more on android.

I am willing to go into a partnership  and I have many idea's of how to get clients, contracts, obtain work.

If interested please drop me a pm.

Many thanks

Are you already doing this and keeping yourself fully employed?

What benefits will this partnership bring to me?

Hi there,

I'm looking to start a partnership and I am not in employment. I'm already looking to develop a complex app on self taught basis.

I have my way round in an idea sense of getting clients, projects, contacts.

App development is quite lucrative and the demand is there. Also the company can transition to software development or even something else. For example I'm also leaching into vr development even IT infrastructure.

However I'm still thinking about whether to get a business partner on a partnership basis or not.

What is your experience?  I've seen many apps that have codebases that are just a spaghetti mess.  I feel app development, especially when things get complex have to be built following software engineering best practices so that means following TDD, leveraging CI, choosing the correct platform, framework and tools.  In terms of code abstractions should be made at the right level and cyclomatic complexity kept to an absolute minimum.  Naming of things should be sensible, consistent and intuitive to readers.  It takes a lot of time to learn what "good" looks like.

TDD for example is essential when things get anything beyond trivial.  Nothing wrong with being self taught - I am self taught but it took a good few years of concentrated effort to get to a stage where I could build an application that is fairly well engineered - getting it to work is the easy bit.

Building applications is lucrative but if you're new to the game I'd encourage you to seek employment as a software engineer, build up experience learning from other engineers in the process.

Hello,

I don't have any experience.

However after developing around over 10 android apps I do feel I am ready. I am in the process of developing something very complex which demonstrates my competence, proficiency and technical knowledge and skills.

I do feel I can develop apps for sme's, do networking, get contacts and develop apps.

Thank you for your advice and suggestions.

Have these apps made any money? If so have they covered the cost of your time?

If the answer to these questions is no then there is no benefit in a partnership. If I want an android app developing there are thousands of people I could employ to do the work.
