Jquery not working in safari

Featured Replies

Hey

strange one, my form ( My Contact Form ) works fine in chrome but not in safari. The codepen I made prior to adding it to the site worked in both My codepen pre-made script . Near the bottom of this script (above lazyload) is the copy of this jquery that runs on my site Script for the site...

can anyone work out why this is happening? I have been looking with no joy.

thanks

hey

It seems to work fine in firefox for me, I'm on a mac, what bits are you referring to?

The bits that don't work are everything that relies on the javascript, for example when you use the dropdowns several things happen,

  1. The 'and lives here' section disappears or appears
  2. the checkboxes change in accordance to which options were selected in the dropdowns
  3. The 'we're prepared to invest' dropdown changes price.

none of those items are working in Safari, but they work in chrome

In Safari, right click and inspect element.

There are JS errors on lines 187 and 197.

Safari says 'state' is not a function.

On firefox I submitted a blank form. A tooltip displayed but when you scroll the tooltip stays in the same position, it doesn't move with the field. In firefox I see some red error borders but none in Safari. In Safari when you scroll the tooltip disappears so you no longer know which field had the error. Same on my iPhone

Note also that there are no indications as to which fields are mandatory.
