January 11, 20188 yr I recommend me. But I don't really understand why if you want a site like that one, which is a free wordpress theme you would want to build a site which isn't wordpress with the free theme. I can make you a magazine type site on another CMS which is just like that, or a bit different if you prefer. You would need a CMS though to handle articles and links with exerpts like that.

Most of them only know how to do WordPress. Why don't you want to use WordPress? There are plenty of alternative CMS, but if you want a site like your example why not just use the same free theme with a WordPress install. It will keep the costs down.
January 18, 20188 yr You can achieve something like that with Ghost. It requires Node.js, but it's quite good. Another alternative would be HTMLy.
