I’m looking for a web designer for a boot leg start up.

Would you be willing to work part time (initially) to build a website for a share in the company rather than a wage?

The role will/can develop into a full time role with an industry standard salary to follow once the website is up and running creating a revenue?

if you believe the web site will get a revenue enough to pay a developer then make a business plan, get a business/startup loan and pay the developer to do the project.

otherwise if you have some special cicumstances then explain what they are as to why can't invest in development but expect prospective developers to invest their time and resources in something that *might* pay off.

It is more that I want to create a business that is not pulled down by debt before it starts. 

If we create a business on a shoe string and make it work, it means quicker returns for all parties. 

Also, if you have a share in the business, you be more passionate about what you are doing and have vested interest to make it work. 

I would expect the right person Input their own opinion and make a well rounded decision before investing any of their time.

I don’t want someone that will take the money and run, some people like that are sloppy. 

*might* pay off - again, I would expect anyone with an entrepreneur mindset to review everything twice and make a decision. Taking an educated risk is what life is all about.

yes it is an educated risk - the kind you see popping up all the time and it always makes me nervous when people are so invested their project eople but never seem to be able to raise any cash - debt is a modus operandus for most businesses until your ideas and hard work come to fruition and break even, or even start to make profit.
