This is my first time using this forum and this may be in the wrong place.

I am currently using Google Apps legacy account for my business, would I be able to carry on using the same domain within google apps for some email addresses and then purchase office 365 account using the same domain for myself.

Is there any way that you can you two email hosting providers on the same domain at the same time?

To be honest I've never used google apps or office 365 so can't check this, but I'm assuming that when you sign up for their service you point your MX records to them. If that is the case I don't see how you could point your MX records to two different services. So I'd be inclined to say no it's no possible.

Have never really seen it done. Multiple MX records are usually there as a fail safe.

If you don't wish to use the legacy account why not get it to forward emails to your active account?
