Best web hosting?

What platform are you using for your website? I ask because often it's the website which needs optimising first (suitable database indexes, caching, etc). For example if you're using WordPress you can install caching plugins.

Things which effect the performance of a shared hosting provider:

  • How many customers they have per server
  • The hardware being used, e.g. SSD drives have significant performance gains
  • The CPU/IO limits placed per website, these are often unpublished

I would create a shortlist of providers and then contact these asking for test addresses, information on their CPU/IO limits to compare, etc.

from my personal web hosting experience I will suggest you for uk based hosting https://www.pickaweb.co.uk/ they have budget hosting and you will get more faster service like 24/7 customer support and faster website loading.

Could you post your website so we can see what the response times are like?

I can only really recommend TsoHost I've been using them for a couple of years now and I've not had any issues with them at all.

One thing that I would point out is using Shared Hosting might be your issue because effectively you've got multiple sites running off the same hardware which if another one of those sites is poorly coded or just generally a resource hog then you're going to have issues.

You'd be better looking at either a VPS or a Dedicated Server, this will cost more but you'll get better performance and you'll also have more control over your site and it's hosting.

I think you are right. This seems the best way forward.

Thank you

x10 hosting premium is only 7 dollars a month. It's unlimited everything but I know it's not really true. Still great service!
